Don't play a lot of "dungeon crawlers" but i'm really digging this game. Normal mode is fun. The play through is smooth, the level bosses just hard enough (looking at you crustacean). Definitely worth the $15 EA version. Amazing what one person can do.

A solid looter shooter experience without a lot of frustrations involved in difficult games. Sometimes the RNG is not on your side but one death/respawn usually fixes this. You aren't punished outright for playing the game, and there's multiple modes to pick from depending on if you want a roguelike or not.

A weird, semi-simple, and addictive explore'search'n'destroy looter-FPS with RPG lite elements. You explore 'rooms' in a strange, alien world. The said 'rooms' are ca. 100x100 meters places in which you shoot various enemies and occasional bosses, search for chests and hidden loot, you open doors (never enough access cards, hahaha), and solve little puzzles here and there. Once you finish a said 'room', you proceed to another one and rinse and repeat. There are probably some more elements to the game that I haven't noted.
All in all, I join others in saying, "An impressive feat for one-man developer's show."

I kind of knew I was getting into a world of jank but nothing prepares you for just how janky this game really is. There are a few negative reviews that list in detail just how bad it is but say "early access" in their review. I am playing this after it's release and from the early access videos to what I played, well it's not much different. Feels like they just slapped 'done' on the label and launched it. I don't feel any heart of passion behind this title of someone who said "they saw a lack of Sci-Fi looter" game. Guns are marginally varied, drones are both useful but also can get stuck in AI loops that cause them to out right be useless, loot makes you either insanely over powered or "just right" which is to say it takes around 10-12 shots to kill an enemy, and lastly bosses are so laughably boring and unimaginative. I won't get into spoilers but just be prepared for the so much jank you are kind of just forced to sit there and take it. Glad I beat the game because I never want to look back at this title ever again...

I'm not good at righting reviews but I played the damn and I was hooked. Its a awesome game with some solid mechanics, its a little like borderlands with the random loot and you have a dash ability that makes you invincible while performing it so kind like the I frames you get from dark souls, i'm only a few hours in but i'm having a blast. Either way there is a demo download and see for yourself if the game is right for you but if you ask me its a great game, pretty classic looter shoot with some added mechanics to make the game more fun and slightly different then other games in the genre.
Now he game is pretty amazing considering it was made my a single Developer. He deserves the suppose he obliviously put love into this game and I would be eager to see him make more games along this line or make DLC for this game.

I want to give credits to the developer! Bringing such a well elaborated project solo is truly a great undertaking. I personally appreciate the level design and the process as a whole. It's simple, but "simple is a genius" level simple, one could easily spend hours and hours in the game. Would definitely like to see more games from Mr. Fisher!

The best 10 hours in a game I've had in a very very very long time. It doesn't outstay it's welcome and it's enjoyable the whole way through. If I had to make one critique, I'd say the bosses are some pretty hardcore bullet sponges. I played on the hardest difficulty though, so maybe they're a little more balanced on the other difficulties. Overall though, I wouldn't subtract that from the game at all, it offers way too much great content for a few boss fights being frustrating. Insane for ONE PERSON to make a game this great, I can't believe it. Thank you so much for making this game, hope to see more stuff from you in the future!

Nightmarish perfection of a science fiction dungeon crawler. Soaking with unnerving eerie atmosphere where alien horrors abound on a planet of terror where everything wants to kill you. Graphics remind me of a Simon Bisley HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE story where visceral violence abounds and is your only way of survival.
Scary and ghoulish science fiction visuals like a 1960's Italian doomsday film or some alien landscape ala PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES. The inhuman denizens of this death plane are highly detailed beautiful in their bizarre monstrous biology whether machine or fleshy.
Third person view is handled well never getting in the way and feeling very comfortable in the same way first person view is for me.
Sound is disturbing as if coming from the infernal pits of damnation, a black hole vortex eternal in the doom it brings to all who enter. One of cybernetic characters sounds a lot like Ron Pearlman which is pretty cool.
UI is easy to use and straight to the point with no confusing or clumsy nonsense to break immersion. Plenty of interesting upgrades and crafting along with loot to be scavenged. There are ingredients etc which can be used to heal your character.
EARTH'S SHADOW, Buy it! Play it! Survive in TERROR INSPIRED FURY!!! as a malevolent hateful world strives to OBLITERATE YOU from existence!!!

I'm a fan of WRF Studios and own all of his games, and this one is no different. The play is smoother and the graphics are crisper...and, of course, the sci-fi setting is new to his games. It has that 'lone-scavenger on a hostile planet' tone, and it does it well.
I also don't want to lose sight that this is an indie, one-person dev-team game that is in early access, so I am not expecting perfection out of the gate. A bonus to a one-person team is that he's amazingly receptive to input and feedback, and communicates regularly with players here on the Steam forums.
It follows the usual formula of his games, and that is enjoyable 'dungeon' crawling games with rather simple controls and game-play. This one is a bit different for him as it is outside of his usual Vampire/Undead setting, but otherwise it is comfortable and familiar with the usual resource gathering and continuous hack-n-slash action!
I will note that this review comes from someone who already enjoys his studio-catalog, and as they tend to follow very similar formats overall, there weren't any negative surprises for me. If you've not played his games, read the reviews and decide for yourself (and play the demo so you know just what you're getting); for various reasons, people are often split in their opinions of his games.

This game is a rough, uncut gem. It obviously borrows a lot of inspiration from Returnal, which isn't a bad thing, just don't expect a Returnal quality game. The general gameplay loop is pretty fun; shoot stuff, get loot, level up, repeat. The story is just kind of there and really it would be fine if it wasn't. There is lots of room to improve in all areas, but there is plenty of fun to be had here. I recommend this game to players that are capable of enjoying the good things, acknowledging the flaws, providing constructive feedback, and not expecting miracles to happen.
