The music is gorgeous and also the art... but technically, this thing is a mess: It gets stuck in almost every scene, and needs to minimize the window and restore it, or it often gets a black screen which can't be exited from.

I got this game for free through epic games and randomly decided to try it. After beating it, I had to buy the game on steam just so I could show my support for this game. This is the first time I've felt the need to pay for a game that I got for free (also my first time reviewing a game as well).
I did not think I would love this game as much as I do. The gameplay itself is not what captivated me. It was the story and the way it is told through the paintings. The story, the music, the art, and everything were so enjoyable. I also loved that you can complete this game within 2 hours. This is definitely a hidden gem.

this is an absolutely beautiful game with the most touching story!!! this is also the first game to ever actually bring me to tears. the animation drew me in and game play absolutely did not disappoint. slowly figuring out the story through painting and the occasional puzzle is a lot of fun, and has the perfect amount of detail. definitely recommend for a quick, heartwarming playthrough :)

Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery is a beautiful game depicting an artist as she works to finish her masterpiece. While the game is relatively short (I completed it in 2 hours and got all achievements), it's beautifully done and I highly recommend getting it to support the developers and their hard work.
Headache factor: a little bit with the movement, but it's entirely user-reliant, so as long as you move slowly you should be alright.
Highlights:
Beautiful artwork - it feels very Ghibli-esque in some scenes
Cozy vibe - it would be an amazing game to play during a rainy day or night!
Cute music - very relaxing, and you're able to purchase the soundtrack as well
Beautiful storyline
Adorable cats!

To be honest, I much preferred the puzzles and storytelling in The Star Named EOS.
It makes sense, given that Behind the Frame was released a full three years before it. A few music tracks in Behind the Frame were also a bit annoying once they played for more than a minute or two.
Still, a lovely, beautiful game. Worth the full price for sure.

The story, art and music are amazing. The Jack DLC is worth it. I truly love this game. I cried a lot. Even if you don't enjoy puzzle games you should still play this. Infinity/10.

The art is great, the music is beautiful and the story is adorable. It looks and feels good. But this is not a game. The puzzles feel unnecessary and the achievements seem forced. And yes, I do understand that this type of story could only be told through the medium of games. However, it could've been an animated short film, and it would've been way better, considering the fact that the game itself can be finished in less than 2 hours.
Still tho, everything above would be acceptable if not for the price. The price is a BIG NO for what you get. Wouldn't recommend the game. However, if you really wanna experience it (and again, not PLAY but experience it), you should wait for a sale.
P.S.
The Jack DLC everybody talks about isn't even mentioned anywhere and it's possible to miss it completely.
