Star Trek: Infinite Reviews

Not as bad as the review bombing suggests. I solid Trek experience once you mod in some actual Trek Music :P Yes the game was abandoned but is playable in its current state. Its a very slow and methodical experience overall but can re almost relaxing to play. The game with some added support could of been a little gem which is a shame but what remains is still overall a good experience.

Maybe i should have done more research , but basically this game is Stelllaris with a Star trek veneer.

I really wanted to like this game, after years had gone by and nothing like the old Birth of the federation i was hoping this would be a updated version, but its not. there are a few things i do like about the game but not enough to make up for the bad parts of it. Who every make this game must not have ever really watched or know much about Star Trek in my opinion. the first bad part is the limit factor on everything. to me that is what your resources are for. The lack of starships, starship classes, and captains to command them makes it very hard to do anything other then explore. The why spies work i do like and the way the diplomacy works is very nice, even the way you explore and survey worlds. the energy resource you need for everything is a bit over whelming and you end up just building worlds just to do that, which again very much limits what you can do. There is no Tech Research tree to even let you know which direction you would like to do,it pretty much guess work and luck of the draw, which sucks. I have played many games like this, like Galactic Civilization. this game needs a serious over haul or a massive DLC update. But if your someone that like playing a game with massive limits against you, be my guess and get it, to me even buying it at half off to me was more then you should pay for this game. there are pros and cons to this game and the bad part is the cons out number the pros in my opinion. So Buyer be ware.

So...I put some time into learning this game. Finally got to the combat phase. REALLY DISAPPOINTING. The ships fly around each other like an angry swarm of wasps trying to sting each other. There are no tactics, no formations, no dedicated battle cut scene or any thing like there was in Birth of The Federation. Just who ever has the bigger better swarm wins. REALLY...developers...REALLY...?!?!?!? Time and MONEY wasted. Not recommending this title.

I wish I didn't purchase this. I was excited for a Star Trek Stellaris! I've never played Stellaris and it felt daunting to try to get into it with all the DLC and such so I bought this as a huge Star Trek fan. Boy what a mistake! It was abandoned very quickly by the developers and there has been no support since like a month after launch. Really absurd for such a huge IP and publisher. What a shame.

Basically a total conversion mod for stellaris. Unfinished. No updates for more than a year.

Game clearly not finished abandoned by the makers. even the ui scaling is still in experimental???? and it's finished????

Abandonware just play Stellaris with a Star Trek total conversion mod.

All you need to know about this game is that Paradox, a company infamous for DLC bloat, has not pushed for any actual gameplay DLC since it was released in 2023. Even while Stellaris (which Star Trek: Infinite is an inferior reskin of) has averaged 3-4 dlc per year. There are mods for the original Stellaris game that do Star Trek better than this official version.

DO NOT BUY THIS THIS GAME IS ABANDONED AND WILL NO LONGER GET ANY UPDATES. 100% waste of money, and here's a big a F U to the developer
