This was a massive disappointment, I love Star Trek, I love Stellaris, and the two things combined should be amazing but... Oh bloody hell... This is not worth the reduced price it has, spend a little more, get Stellaris, and play the Star Trek New Horizons mod, it is made by people who actually care about the universe, the lore and are capable of coming up with more than just 5 names for a starship.

Game is very slow compared to classic games like Star Trek Armada series. Thought games like Stellaris was a decent game but this game just feels bad. As much as I like Trek it felt like a chore trying to play this game. It's not worth full price and even then I'm not sure I could recommend it. I still remember the original trailer/teaser for this game looked cool but this feels like it was made with the minimum effort based on the Stellaris game.
And don't get me started on the cluttered UI or the awful tutorial. I just can't justify playing this for hours for a game that just isn't fun.

You want to know the simplest and best way to describe Star Trek: Infinite?
It's the PS Vita of video games. Pushed into the world, bright eyed and full of potential, and then promptly dropped into a closet and forgotten about like Harry Potter if he never became a wizard.
I've pushed myself past the point of reasonable to like this game. Ultimately, it's not worth it. It's an overpriced demo for Stellaris, basically, and will never see any support again. Go buy Stellaris and install a few mods, it'll be more fun than waiting a literal fifteen minutes for this to load into a single game again.

Bought this on release day with the hopes of supporting the devs, tho I decided to wait for them to add more stuff.
Unfortunately that did not come as they abandoned the game in the end with the devs being whooped by Paradox restructuring.
Such a shame, go play Star trek New Horizons mod on Stellaris instead
