Outstanding simulation, second only to being on a real commuter train in Japan!
Also, *criminally under-represented.* I can barely find mention of Train Crew on YouTube (English language), and can't find any guides here on Steam.
The game is polished, runs smoothly, is satisfying to play, and mimics the sights and sounds of a real Japanese commuter train line. Realistic looking and naturally moving passengers. A slightly "robotic" but also real feel for your own movements and procedures that must be followed for safety (and your score).
The trains accelerate and brake hard, and stop precisely, to within a centimeter of your desired stopping point. Signs, signals, LED screens, video monitors, in-train announcements, etc. are all there. And the train ceilings are festooned with colorful advertisement sheets, again, just like in Japan!
Train types include "slower" trains that stop at every stop, limited and special express trains that skip stations, as well as "out of service" trains moving to a new location without passengers. There are older type models, sleek, newer ones, as well as aerodynamic special high-speed trains--although not bullet trains, which tend to travel faster. The current track is maybe 20-30 km long, and more is being added. It looks realistic but is not based on any real locations, including the cities, which have fictional names.
It's well translated, such that you can play even if you don't speak or read Japanese. But it helps if you do.
Summary: a must-have for anyone interested in trains, especially if you would like to visit Japan or have already done so.

Fun little train sim, has lots of services to choose from and is getting updates from time to time. It has a strict scoring system which encourages you to drive the services again and again to get more points.
There is a variety of vehicles to drive (15 at the time of writing this), and you can change the trainset to your liking (once you've completed it at least once).
This game is really fun, and if you have a general interest in japanese rail sims I definitely recommend you give it a try.

this game shows how you could blend a mixture of both Japanese and western style train sims together. unlike some other JP train sims (like the official JR east Train sim) it's not just a video that was shot in the cab of a train/loco controlled by you making it look like you are "Driving" it. You actually move a 3D train around a fictitious railway in japan. and with a update you could walk around by foot, like the TSW Series.
the game is done by a former railway worker, and mimics to a T how the Japanese operate their trains. from stopping all stations to limited expresses. with their safety systems and shows you how to operate a train.
another thing I love about this game is conductor mode, Having 13 years experience working/volunteering on the heritage
railway circuit. it makes me feel extremely happy, you get to do the other important side of operating trains, which is basically opening doors, closing doors, doing announcements and most importantly telling trains that it's safe to depart.
there's also some good customising options included.
at the time of review, we had trains running between Tatehama Station to Akayamacho Station a good 20mins express/roughly 45min/1hr stopping service worth of gameplay
it's updated regularly, and the updates are pretty regular
for AU$24.95, this game is well worth the price tag.

I often find myself being left disappointed by most Train Simulator's when it comes to the actual driving part of the train,
this game however has far exceeded my expectations!
The trains behave exactly as I would expect (I drive electric multiple units for a living) and the route is engaging to drive.
I love the level of detail and thought that has clearly gone into this game, from the train sounds to the drivers risk trigger commentary and so much more!
It is obvious to see this project has had much love and passion put into it and I can't wait to see its continued development!
