I have to say that this is probably one of my favorites by emika games. It had an awesome atmosphere and there were jumpscares all over the place. Very creepy vibe throughout! The storyline was good as well, although I was a little confused at first, I did figure it out at the end. I definitely recommend it to others!

ENG: The game is good, addictive, atmospheric and in my opinion worth its money. I played with a friend and almost all screamers were positive emotions in the form of fear. I recommend buying it. RUSS: Игра хорошая, затягивает, атмосферно и как по мне стоит своих денег. Играл с другом на пару и почти на все скримеры были положительные эмоции в виде испуга. К покупке рекомендую.

Summer of '58 is a short but incredibly effective psychological horror experience that proves atmosphere and storytelling can be far more terrifying than jump scares alone. Set in an abandoned Soviet-era school in Russia, the game immerses players in a chilling ghost investigation that slowly unravels into something far more disturbing. The game’s biggest strength is its atmosphere. From the moment you enter the decaying building, the sound design, lighting, and environmental details work together to create an oppressive sense of dread. The use of ambient noise — creaks, whispers, sudden silence — keeps you on edge the entire time. Visually, the game is impressive for its size. The attention to detail in the environment tells a story of its own, filled with clues, history, and mystery. You play as a paranormal investigator, using your camera to document events — a mechanic that adds to the realism and immersion. The pacing is tight and deliberate. It slowly builds tension without overwhelming the player, leading to several genuinely frightening moments that feel earned rather than forced. Though the game is relatively short, its impact is long-lasting. In conclusion, Summer of '58 is a must-play for fans of atmospheric horror. It’s smart, creepy, and emotionally effective — a perfect example of how indie horror can rival big-budget titles when it comes to storytelling and tension.

This is one of my top games from Emika games, Great graphics, unsettling atmosphere, sound was great, decent jump scares and the story was good. I wish the back and forth at the door with the notes was a little faster, It felt like it was drug on for filler. Amazing game though if you enjoy Psychological horror walking sims.

Nothing fantastic, but good for a cheap, short play!

I don't usually write reviews, but this game is an exception. I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere and music were fantastic! And so was the story. I really enjoy story driven games, and the scares were excellent. A few of then even scared the shit out of me, although I do scare pretty easily :D And it's especially impressive that you've made this all on your own! Hats off to you! Would love to see a continuation to this! It was a fun, but spooky experience!
