Cute game, and a pretty chill/easy time to run through. Just be aware there is a lot more content in here than you would expect

TL;DR: The game is promising, but there's just nothing there, songs are forgettable, combat is repetitive and bland, the characters and looter aspect offer very shallow customization, and the level design goes against the very scoring system of the game. 3/10, don't buy.
This game suffers from being an amazing concept with terrible execution, surface level stuff is pretty bad, characters, story, the world and most designs are very bland and boring, but the gameplay is just downright bad. A majority of the soundtrack is very boring and without any memorable songs aside from a small handful which should be a crime for a rhythm game, and then a third of the songs don't feel like they have a rhythm you can follow; this stuff is subjective, music taste and feel are different for everyone, but considering the game has a lot of levels and distinct genres you'd think SOMETHING would stick. Then, there's the customization or lack-there-of, there's 5 different characters but they barely play any differently aside from their melee attack and mostly useless skills, the looter aspect doesn't offer anything substantial since there's really only like 7 different weapons that play pretty much the same but get minor stat changes depending on rarity, but then there's the LEVEL DESIGN; levels are big, filled with side paths and hidden chests which should be a good thing, but there's a scoring system that will IMMEDIATELY drop you down to the lowest grade if you clear a stage under a very short time limit, contradicting the design and forcing you to replay levels not for fun, but because you have to dedicate a run to exploring and then another to actually attempting to get the high score. The final nail on the coffin is the fact that enemy variety is nonexistent, you'll fight the same few mobs for the whole game as far as I can tell, and at the end of stages there isn't even a boss, just a big wave of enemies that fill the screen with projectiles, good luck getting a platinum rank there. Maybe some of this changes towards the end of the game, but I just can't keep forcing myself to play anymore; for reference, I got a bit further past what the game seems to present as the halfway point.
