Bought this game on a whim and must say it was a great choice. The music is something I never knew I needed until now and the game play loop is euphoric. The combination of buffs, weapons, and enemies allow for a decent variety of builds and the game does pretty much everything in its power to teach the player the optimal method of play. :thub up:

Well made roguelite riff on the Hotline Miami formula. I really like the setting, which is a bit corporate horror, and the way that you get upgrades as drinks from a bar. The storytelling is all right. The aesthetics are pretty cool.

Very addicting gameplay loop, easy to learn, hard to master. Works well with keyboard and mouse for being a twinstick. Highly recommend this if you need your Hotline Miami fix. Interesting lore as well, been enjoying piecing it together.

Would be good if there was a way to retry runs. Im sick of dying to an explosion when i was at mid range from it just to have to restart from the beginning, which has very boring easy levels compared to the rest of the game,. And the boss fights are so annoying. Theyre either braindead easy or brutally unfair and the only way to get better at fighting them is to painstakingly restart runs over and over again to get to where you were before. Every other rougelike ive played feels fair compared to this. Im fine with difficult gameplay like hotline miami but you could retry levels in that game. If you make a single mistake in this game it will set you back tons of hours.

Fun game but the boss design is awful. Shooting up the hotel lobby with lots of blood and bullettime, sweet! And then you have to fight a super lame robot snake. Boss 2, a centurion. Really? Mouse settings do nothing, have to change settings of the mouse. This could have been great. Buy it on sale 6.5/10

hotline miami roguelike, it's good listen closely niggies, -when your low hp reload the game to start over a level/boss fight at full hp -you can cycle drinks for free by reloading the game as well -for impossible mode the drink "sliver" is a must

It's really great fun! Hotline Miami as a roguelite but there's a bit more going on. There's some fun easter eggs and a fun noir aesthetic that doesn't detract from the language on screen. occasionally had some issues trying to stream the game and had to share the full screen, but otherwise it's my current obsession.

If you are in any way shape or form a fan of Hotline Miami: You must get this. It is a rogue-lite game, with a pleasing black and white aesthetic. Initially it has a little bit of a learning curve with how hard the enemies are. The more you play, the more you gain a feel for the pace and reaction time of enemies, as they progressively get harder through each "area" you clear. Solid gameplay. Killer soundtrack. Great replay value. Did I mention it plays like Hotline Miami? 10/10. Get it. Now.

I played this game for 14 hours during which I was dying and dying and dying over and over again to the same bosses. And then, I found the most overpowered drink combination of the ENTIRE GAME. If you mix The One (deflects ennemies bullets by right clicking) and Roadhouse (50% increased splatter chance, which gives you a shitload of more coins), I became more than I ever was. They are human. They die. I used to die too. I used to. I became an unstoppable entity, a God... While deflecting the bullets, you can still kick. So I kicked every single ennemies to death and they couldn't do anything about it but watch. With the increased splatter, I made so much money that I could literally buy any drink I wanted. And so, each time i got out of the bar, my ennemies looked at me with fear, knowing that I was more and more powerful. A guard dog ? Yes. A drone that shoots ennemies and bosses ? Yes. More Health but walk speed reduced ? Yes. Enhanced walk speed ? Yes. Explosive barrels in EVERY SINGLE ROOM ? YES. MY POWER WAS GROWING AS I MOWED DOWN THE MOST HARDCORE LEVELS OF THE GAME IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, SHREDDING THROUGH BOSSES LIKE THEY WERE MADE OF BREAD. I BECAME MORE POWERFUL THAN THE HEART OF THE MANSION. I BECAME THE HEART OF THE MANSION. AND MY ENNEMIES SHALL FEEL DEATH BY MY HAND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AS I RUSH INFINITELY IN THESE ROOMS TO SEEK VENGEANCE FOR MY LOST DAUGHTER. Anyway this game is pretty solid the music is good 10/10.
