adore this game, would love more content or a sequel because i basically beat it in one sitting in under 3 hours

A short and wholesome game with lots of love put into it. It's perfect for a chill weekend afternoon with an adorable art direction, funny dialogues and unique characters. I would love to see a DLC for it in the future with some new missions, I want my little mail scout to do so much more gliding and helping others!

This is an adorable game and is very relaxing to play. However, I hate to have to do this but I wouldn't recommend it. I got this on offer for £6.70 but, unfortunately, I don't think it was worth it. It's tragically short, for one. Another review mentioned if you 'take your time with it' you'll get it to last longer. Well, I did, and it was 2 hours. Gameplay is essentially traversal across the small world; that's literally it. As other reviews have said, the ending is unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, the quest design is not cohesive. Side quests make up the vast majority of gameplay but barely (if at all) link to the main quest itself. I also felt there were elements of lazy design - for example: there's a scene where certain characters play instruments, however, they are simply animated dancing and, as such, the dialogue with them seems a bit strange. I don't think it would have taken much to add a couple of assets that simply showed said instruments in front of said characters - it's just a small thing but would be a big improvement. Another example being certain characters state they are moving location upon quest completion - except, they don't, they just stay in the same place for the rest of the game. Again, it would be such a small change to simply have them appear where they said they would be after quest completion? That being said, if you go in expecting a very simple and short game and you personally feel that is worth the price you pay, go for it. I just think for most people you'd best spend your money elsewhere. For similar vibes but a better game, I'd suggest trying Little Gator Game.

Super cute game! It took less than 3 hours to fully complete the game so perfect if you're looking for something short and sweet <3

very cute game cozy a lot of traveling but this game is really not worth the attention to the amount of gameplay it offers for this price, I rather suggest buying this game on sale

Not even close to being worth 26$ CAD. I got it for 9$ and that's still kinda steep for what it is. The game got traction on tiktok while in development and the devs seem to have taken advantage of that. Buggy dialogue (getting stuck with characters after finishing dialogue and having to repeat multiple times), floaty platforming, repetitive gameplay, and unengaging dialogue. Genuinely think the only reason this game is over an hour long is so that you cannot return it once purchased.

While the visuals are adorable, and bouncing off mushroom caps is fun - it's lacking, tedious and buggy. I'd recommend this game for a sick day, when your brain feels like mush and mindless, lackluster tasks sound enjoyable. With how much I wanted to love this, it's unfortunate that I was left wanting more. That said, I wholeheartedly believe this game is dripping with potential.

Super cute and wholesome game. Characters are adorable and you can customise your mushroom hat. Enjoyable to finish with minimal bugs (got caught on grass once and just needed to do a quick reload to get out of it). There is personally no replay value after completion, but I would play again if the devs ever added any additional content in the future.

A very cute and fun little game. A good few hours of enjoyment if you don't rush through it.

I've been following and supporting this game/developer for years. I would always periodically check their discord to see if there were any updates and how development was going. When I saw the free demo was out, I was super excited to play. As far as a demo, the game looked decent and I was under the impression that since it was a demo, the full release would be packed with more to do, explore, updated graphics, and complete. After months of forgetting about this game, I saw it released and bought it. I don't remember the price I bought it at but it is currently listed for $20.00 USD. It's been sitting in my library for a while and I just decided to play it today. This game took me just under 2 hours to play. Based on what the game offers, the play-time, and the anticipation for such a long-awaited game, I would not recommend this game at all. Pros: 1. Cozy-esque. The game has a specific style which I like. Most games do not have this art style and I commend the developer for her creativity and uniqueness. 2. The music is simple, but enjoyable. This music definitely fits the vibe/aesthetic of the game and adds to the foresty feel. 3. Some of the dialogue is cute and unique to each NPC, they each have their own personalities and wishes. Cons: 1. This game is primarily a walking simulator. Be prepared to do lots of back-and-forth, jumping, and gliding. Most of my time spent in this game was travelling to all of the areas in the map. 2. The quests are lack-luster, repetitive, and unfulfilling. Almost all of the tasks in-game are not related to the main objective whatsoever. You will be running back and forth to complete tasks that give you little-to-no satisfaction or reward. 3. Filled with bugs and glitches. I've ran into many bugs where upon gaining a steam quest completion and a mail stamp, I was unable to move and would have to re-talk to the NPC to gain movement back. Furthermore, certain obstacles such as rocks and leaves are not able to be walked on, leading to many falls and searching for alternate routes to get up to where you need to go. 4. Clashing art styles and cheap renders/models. The art style when talking to an NPC is cute and unique. The game itself is lackluster. The models used are cheap and bland with just simple textures over them. This makes the game feel very flat and 'cheap'. Most developers create models with the textures in mind to create a more 3D effect and to add to the realism. These two styles clash with each other and make the game feel incomplete and half done. 5. Little-to-no story-line and feels incomplete. Most of the quests follow small stories, where groups of NPCs follow a certain story or quest with each other. The overall main objective does not relate to the rest of the tasks you complete, besides the end quest. This makes me feel like my time was wasted doing these unnecessary small storylines as they have little-to-no relation to the bigger objective, which is to deliver the final letter. **(Spoiler of endgame ahead, read at your own discretion)** 6. Speaking of the final letter, the ending is disappointing and you are left on an unnecessary cliff hanger. The final task, which is mentioned throughout the whole game, is to deliver a letter to Greg, the bear. After completing every other task and collecting all of the mail stamps, you are tasked to go to the highest area of the map, jump and glide to the new location, make your way up to the top to deliver the final letter. Upon getting there, Greg is sleeping and you are unable to deliver the final letter. You go down to Janet to ask about how to deliver the final letter to Greg and pretty much get a "oh well, can't win them all, good job tho" response. This was a big slap in the face for me, as I spent almost 2 hours aiming to complete this simple task just to have the game leave it on a cliffhanger and incomplete. After that, there's a credit screen and you are lead to the title screen. The final mail stamp is unobtainable and your letter task for Greg remains incomplete. This is a huge disappointment considering the whole premise of the game is to deliver this final letter. Since release in April 2023 and it's console release in Oct 2023, there has been radio silence from the Developer. No updates, patches, nothing. She last talked in the official Mail Time discord in 2023. It has been almost two years of no updates or questions answered regarding the final and most important task of the game. This is a huge disappointment and inconsiderate to the many people who spent their hard-earned money supporting this incomplete and sloppy game. To me, this game is nowhere near worth the $20 price point. This game is a $5 game at best. This game feels incomplete, sloppy, and half-butted. There are much more great-quality cozy games that offer much more play-time, effective storyline, and better graphics for less. A prime example is Stardew Valley, severely under-priced for what it is at only $14. I would only recommend this game if you get it at a wicked deal but even then it's a stretch.
