This has to be one of the worst VNs I've ever read. The Dream / Case1-3 stories are fine, completely serviceable, mediocre, whatever. The main issue is the second half. Major full game spoilers:
People are living in under-the-dome capitalism because if you catch "satisfied with life" disease you die. Humanity is afflicted with "satisfied with life" disease because absolutely 100% of humanity has modded their genes in the exact same way.

Also we lied to everyone about how leaving the dome will give you super melanoma cancer. Somehow no one has found out despite there being several researchers looking for a super cancer cure for decades.

Anyways, that's why we had to create the matrix and use the main girl as a metaverse potato.
The entire, unbelievable sci-fi thread could have been removed
and replaced with some generic "There's a world ending plague that's why",
and the entire story would be improved several fold. I have no idea why this VN is rated so highly, I'll never trust VN readers again.

After having finished the game I feel like it was a great experience. Sure some spots may have suffered from minor cringe, but overall the way the story unfolds is worth it if you're someone that enjoys Visual Novels. I would compare it to the anime 'Plastic Memories'. If you enjoyed that then I think this will be up your aisle, as it deals with a lot of the same themes like the limit of humanity, maturity. I won't spoil anything so sadly that's all can say, but find out for yourself if you'd like.
