Great game with some of the most fun 4X/RTS gameplay around sadly held back by abhorrent performance. After about an hour in game the FPS goes for 140+ to barely holding 50 with drops into the 10s-20s. Serious work needs to be done to fix it because it severely hampers the gameplay especially combat that requires micro managing.

Love it, plays rather unique (if you have played there other title northgard its like that) but with more complexities if you have your eyes open. Just wish it received more love like there other titles in the form of DLC but small complaint on an otherwise great title

I picked this up because of their other game, and while it can take a little time to learn—maybe a few hours—it’s definitely easier than most RTS games. However, mastering it, especially in multiplayer, is a whole different challenge. Unfortunately, the multiplayer scene isn’t super active, which is a bit of a letdown. If you’re thinking about getting it, definitely wait for a sale, as the price is on the steep side. You’ll also want to already have an interest in RTS games or at least think you’ll enjoy them. One downside is that the game lacks depth in some areas, and you can cheese your way through with certain mechanics, like assassinating other characters in sneaky ways if you’re lucky. For new players, I wouldn't really recommend it in the RTS genre for that reason. The game’s functions are pretty straightforward, and it’s not all bad, but it does get repetitive in a way that's different from other RTS games. For balance, some of the mechanics, like slow phases and "no rush" phases, can feel off, so I’d slightly hesitate to recommend it due to that.

The game was fun to play but lacked depth. Game play did not require strategy. Very repetitive. I also had problems with crashes and not being able to play certain missions.

Very slight lean towards not recommended, but this isn't a bad game at all. The respect for the Dune universe really shines through, and there's a lot of depth and complexity to it with a variety of potential play styles. Visuals are stunning and it runs great. But it's very slow paced, even with fast forward functions. The game severely punishes expansion and yet most skirmishes I can go literally hours and conquer half the map before even encountering another faction.

One of the few modern RTS games where the devs focused on game play and mechanics. They hit a home run because despite no story telling or context: 1. Gameplay is easy to grasp quickly 2. No unnecessary wait times or grinding to extend you play time 3. Responsiveness of the game (no delays in clicking/sending commands) 4. No unnecessary punishments on levels/rounds 5. Computer requirements are extremely minimal

It's a decent game, kept it for the stock market mechanics but found out how limited that in itself was. No hostile takeovers by purchasing out other players, no dividends, nothing. Basically whom acquires the most shares achieves an economic victory and gets a few in game bonuses. Again, decent RTS game - but just doesn't convince me to play it further.

I really like the world of Dune and I enjoy the style of the game. Sand worms are annoying since they can pop up suddenly and kill your entire army.

If you are a fan of the Dune series, this game is a must-play. It combines RTS and 4X elements, meaning there is no turn-based system, and you can even speed up gameplay if you want. The game may look simple and boring at first, but there are some complex systems beneath the surface, such as Landsraad politics and CHOAM stock trading, which are unique to this series. What I love most is that every faction has its own distinct playstyle, staying true to the Dune lore. Imagine playing as the Fremen or Harkonnen and managing things their way. It may not be a great game, but for fans of the Dune series, there is no other choice.
