A clever little game! A satisfying combination of individual elements that would be too simple on their own, and a surprisingly tough iteration on vertical shooter mechanics.
Lots of cute touches, definitely made with love. Despite the simplicity, the game has managed to introduce something new in the large majority of quests. There's some new enemy, or trap, or goal, or rescue-able ally.
Character portrait art is what it is - not my favorite, but the game doesn't lean into it. There's a surprising amount of surprisingly-good voice acting, and the story they're telling (thus far) is well-written and seems intent on doing some real analysis of the "medieval fantasy" setting as we know it.
Cons: At present, the UI is a mix of too busy and too small, and controller support is jank. Sound effects can overwhelm the audio system and get very crunchy.
Nothing complex here, but if you want a simple game with some nice framing, TLotP is worth a shot. Check out the Demo!

Game only contains 2 adds of publisher rest of game is experiencing black non responsive screen that has wacky cursor. So game was fast and easy for me. I would call it "black screen simulator". Buy if you like these kinda games i do not care. Perhaps i should have been making adjustments to my settings but i am not in market of paying for unfinished games.

The demo is broken, full game works fine.
This is not an easy game, expect failure until you learn how to dodge an attack at the same time... Also the game involves a system with plenty of upgrades, so there is that.

The Lord of the Parties is a weird combination of action RPG and vertically scrolling shmup. Unfortunately it's not very good at either, with kind of lame character growth (small improvements from leveling up, sure, but basically it's just what rank of items you have equipped on your characters that determines how good they are entirely) and worse shmup gameplay, basically just going through long autoscrolling stages while making sure to not let your unwieldy-large party take any hits. Not that this is usually very hard, being as you can just kill almost all enemies before they attack, but sometimes you can't and half or more of your party dies instantly.
Now, the game tries a few times to imply that getting hit isn't that bad - you can "rescue" captured soldiers to replace any party members you lose, and they can come at surprisingly high ranks - but rescued soldiers do literally 10% or less of the damage of your actual party members and don't have ultimate abilities. Also, party members aren't very balanced - one of them doubles the damage output of your entire party just for having her around - so the gimmick of "sometimes randomly your characters won't want to adventure so you have to use someone else" is quite awkward, too.
Bottom line is that I finished The Lord of the Parties in just under 7 hours and felt like it was a grindy snoozefest regardless of the low playtime. Not recommended.

Nice to have games on steam that doesn't work at all. 12€ for running and dying, so back to flappy bird then?
I refunded this game, because it is not playable.
Reason:
Normally you go in a map/quest to fight some monsters and at the end a boss while running and charging from side to side.
First: Characters or better your whole group doens't attack (the attacks should be automatic). The only thing i could do was running from side to side and die.
Second: I tried doing another quest/map where i needed to kill 20 monsters, but on every map no monsters spawn (only the boss).
Third: Bossmonster kills your whole group in 1-2 sweeps by sliding from left to right through you a killing everyone by one shotting them.
Fourth: World broken, when i tried doing another quest and died, i was moved 1 tile north from the village where i was stuck. I couldn't move on the world map and i couldn't do any other quest anymore.
@Developers:
Stop making games and stop programming, because you want a good amount of money for nothing. I don't know why steam doesn't stop you from selling this broken software called "game". It seems on steam there is a missing quality check.
I thought maybe there is a button to attack or i got some corrupted files, but no, the game is completely broken.
