Playtime:
320 minutes
Recommended on sale.
Clocking in at just over 5 hours for me, this game didn't overstay its welcome. It's a serviceable experience though it feels a little rough at times.
There's enough guns and shells available to vary your play style as you choose. The story is minimal and the cast is few yet memorable. Overall, I had a good time playing through considering the play time, price point, and story conclusion.
Pros:
Selection of guns, shells and upgrades (the Turtle has a SECOND TAB, I didn't notice this until the last level).
Each area has it's own theme and few unique enemies (the rest are slugs).
Game can be finished in a few sittings.
"Cons":
The game is 'voice acted' with what I can only describe as "sim speak" .... and it gets old...fast.
The dialogue is fairly meh and during cut scenes, you cannot accelerate dialogue.
Most of the enemies in the game are slugs, slugs and more slugs.
Some of the guns have fairly limited ammo limiting the fun / choice during the level.
IMO, this game is U.G.L.Y. All capitals in that one. The bloom, the depth of field, and the choice of zoom make it hard to appreciate the details in the game let alone decipher what you're actually looking at.
No 1440p option and no true graphics settings.
The aiming can be kind of jank though I played the game on controller.
Game is super cheap on sale though and I believe this was their first game, so I'm glad got to support and experience it.
