I adore this game. Worth every penny, on or off sale. Got as close as I could to 100% on captain difficulty - and it took FOREVER bc of the difference between this game's ultra-violence and doom's - but I enjoyed every second.

This game absolutely rocks, and the incels review-bombing this game just because of some crying man-child and his stupid "anti-woke" awards are all virgins and will never know the scent of a woman.

I've rarely played a retro FPS quite as well designed, well polished, and exhilarating as Selaco. The game's tight movement, tactical gameplay, and frenetic firefights are truly stupendous. The way that the tiniest details add to the richness of the world - Things like stacks of paper flying around, items getting knocked all over during combat, or just the particle effects. Plus, the radio chatter (while a small detail) just feels really awesome. The enemies you face encounter you filled with confidence and a sense they outnumber you, and by the end of the fight, the last one standing is radioing desperately for backup. The weapons feel supremely good - Each has unique upgrade paths, and all of them feel unique enough, and with a specific use and purpose (perhaps a slight exception for the sniper rifle, which feels sometimes situational, but I'm willing to overlook that minor detail).
Plus, Dawn just kicks butt. Literally. From out of a slide.
Highly recommended.

Selaco undersells itself as Early Access. After dropping 20 hours into the game on just one campaign it's a brilliant, visercal shooter. It encourages movement and cover, and risky rush-up attacks can either make or break a run.
It's the best homage to F.E.A.R. I've yet played with gratuitous particle splatters and enough blood to fill a Shining elevator. Get this game if you enjoy bounce and fun in your games, and enjoy any of the updates as treats to a completed experience.

Great single-player experience! I'm always moving, always shooting, and always thinking while playing this game! The soundtrack gets stuck in my head, too, which I love. Looking forward to more, but what we already have is more than worth it!

Selaco is one of the greatest boomer shooter GZDoom-made games ever created! Inspired by Doom, FEAR and others, I cannot image a world where Selaco isn't in the top 10 of any retro-inspired FPS game list. Give this game a try, you're love it, just like me and my friends! PS: I do need to try that challenge difficulty, and find ALL the secrets still, incomplete adventure.

Don't listen to the culture war cavemen review bombing the game, this game is amazing. Fantastic level design with a great and versatile arsenal of weapons that is just so tight and refined the entire way through. So much detail packed into the environments with so many cool features on top of a super solid foundation. The combat is so good too, with such good feedback on everything and every combat encounter makes incredible use of the environment and forces you to utilize reactive thinking and improvisation. Music's good too, game good.

incredible ass game, buy it, play it, this isn't the main point of the review, you already knew it was good.
If not??? Trust me, it's and incredibly good game and I personally spent years being excited for it

People leaving this game negative reviews because the developer wanted nothing to do with stupid culture war garbage *are nothing more than cattle.* plain and simple. the perfect braindead pawns, and the byproduct of the mass psyops and propaganda campaign funded by the billionaire class.
If you're one of these losers in question i want you to know that you have been successfully programmed into an anger response via operant & pavlovian conditioning. you'll always, like a schizoaffective, be scared of an Invisible Spectre of Woke that does not exist because rich people made you believe it exists.
the MKULTRA program would be proud. No wonder people hate gamers.
Go back to Mordhau & War of Tanks please, you're not invited to this BBQ.
