Pure FPS fun. I plan on replaying many times. The firefights are super tense and the guns all sound and feel great. Be prepared to spend a little time looking for key cards. I found myself a little lost a few times and had to look up where to find certain things. Worth it at full price. Awesome game.

At this point between Steam and console I've been able to play most of the notable retro-shooters on the market and this one is easily my favorite. The only notable flaw I see people throw at it is that it's easy to get lost with all the environmental detail/clutter but honestly I doubt you'll struggle if you play a lot of these like I have (the map also helps).
The game already has so much content and is only going to get better, $25 is a steal.

10/10 fun Doom game with weapon mods, anyone who complains about not being able to navigate the levels can't see the colour green or open the map

Selaco is a great shooter with a variety of weapons and upgrades. The enemies and the setting are well done, as are the game-play mechanics. Game-play is at its best when you are (semi-)comfortable with the slide mechanic, as it interrupts enemy attacks, and can cover great distance when used with jumping, this enables you to create and respond to frantic action.
There was a couple of things I disliked. Map design was occasionally confusing to navigate, probably at least partially due to one game-play loop being secret finding. Secondly, the game's start was a bit slow, not for long, but I was initially unsure if Selaco was for me. Once you have more than two weapons and start receiving upgrades semi-frequently, the game play opens up.
It is a good buy if you enjoy single-player shooters, and is in good shape for an early access game.

It isn't perfect, but I think this game rocks. Clearly a lot of love and effort has been poured into making this, and I think the results are a game that has a lot of charm and a lot of fun to be had with it.

A solid game crippled by terrible level design. Cleared all enemies, but couldn’t figure out how to 'Descent to Street Level' for weeks. The green lights are no help, and even walkthroughs aren’t much use. A shame, because the core gameplay is great.

I'm sorry, but this game is just not fun for an uncomfortable portion of its' runtime. There's a lot of love in the style, and some great gunplay when it's happening, but ohhhh my godddd, this game is disorienting to navigate, and half of my playtime was spent carrying barrels between a bunch of noisy unfocused rooms with no idea where to go.
it could be really great, the gunplay is awesome. it just needs a lottt more focus and direction in its' map design.

this game is FUN
i like how the game opened, and i could truly feel how frightening it was for the citizens of Selaco while the soldiers were attacking, i thought it was cool how you could download the data from the tablets and reference it later using the caps lock, also many games don't typically use the caps lock for anything, so i thought it was cool the Selaco devs made an actual use for this key.
the guns feel nice, the aiming is smooth, the recoil of the rifle feels realistic, it's not insanely easy to kill the enemies in this game, which i like, and it takes particularly good aim to mow down a lot of them when they're all coming at you at once. this game requires you to actually take cover in certain parts, and if you don't, then the enemies will laser you down pretty rapidly, i got close to dying quite a few times even just on the first couple stages, which felt both good and bad in a way. rewarding when i made it past, but thrilling and somewhat nerve racking in the moment i guess? idk how to describe it, but it was FUN!
i also like how when the attackers were getting closer to the news reporter's room, she stopped commentating as much, and said "go go! they're getting closer!" instead of finishing the automated-like speech she was giving about the Selaco gym getting attacked. the game looks graphically solid, as even on the lowest settings, i was able to have a lot of fun taking screenshots of the different things i thought looked cool in the game. lowering the graphics settings didn't at all take away from the core experience or scenery of the game, which i liked.
overall, this is a really fun game! and i think the devs are definitely cooking up something special with this one. i recommend getting this game if it goes on sale again, or even not on sale honestly it's worth the full price. W game. 10/10.

Amazing game that blows many AAA titles out of the water. Essentially the gameplay could be described as, "what if a 2006 F.E.A.R de-make and the child of Deus-Ex and System Shock had a baby?" A bit of a stretch, I know, but it's clear where the developers drew inspiration from. I love the setting, the soundtrack, the shooting and guns feel heavy and responsive, stable FPS, minimal issues, and the explosions and debris? Oh my! *chef's kiss* I love entering a beautifully detailed room knowing it's about to get obliterated in the combat that follows! The infamous drop kick from F.E.A.R. I remember so fondly from that game works really well in Selaco too! 9/10
My only complaint and why I didn't give it a perfect 10 is that I felt that I could never get the gamma settings quite right. The night lights on the street levels felt oddly dim. I don't know if that's on purpose because of the narrative Selaco (the city) has a false skyline, or because of GZDoom. It just seemed like the lighting from the street lights and skyscrapers should've popped with more bright lens flare effects or something.
