Cool world, beautiful music, great writing. My only complaint is the tutorial drops a bunch of info at once, and it was a little much for me. That said, I got the hang of the game not too long after, so it's nbd

Lovely little narrative game with good characterization and stories...but I honestly didn't realize I didn't review this back in 2022, and I honestly can't remember too many things I really liked about the game specifically besides its setting and vibe. I feel like in a game that's all story, I should remember more about said story...
I'm positive there's more comprehensive titles that give more bang for your $20, but it was a good buy when on sale.

At first I wasn't entirely sold, as I felt like there were a few hiccups in the narrative and its structure. However, I can't deny that I was genuinely, emotionally invested in every character's fate by the end.

This is a cute solar/cyberpunk collection of short stories that you can complete in any order. There are a variety of characters either trying to escape the station, fight back against their the corporate oppressors or just trying to live their lives doing what they can. I'm a big fan of the character art and despite some reviews, I thought many of the stories were well written. The game play is just there to support making decisions. Surviving is so easy, it's actually just trivial. I didn't have to think hard about staying alive or making sure I had enough dice to complete stories.
I know the choices you make in the game do matter but It didn't *feel* like it mattered. The only time I noticed my choices had consequences was when there was an abrupt ending to a story that made it clear I was supposed to do something else. The rest of the time I wasn't super aware that I had a choice at all. I think the game just struggled to create tension when it needed it. If not for the drive (drives are quests) ending, I'd have no idea some stories ended at all.

Absolutely heart wrenching, interactive, and beautiful. Goes beyond just a game. Might as well be art. Get it Immediately and take your time with it.

Interesting-ish concept, not-great writing, meh gameplay. Feels like it was made by nice people.

Pros:
- Vividly written characters
- Dice system that has an element of chance but doesn't incentivize savescumming
- Gorgeous art style
- Impactful choices.
Cons:
- The game is organized such that its flaws are so drastically overshadowed by its strengths that they aren't really noticeable.
One of my favorite games ever, and especially great if you are balancing school or a job. If you don't have a lot of time to spend gaming, this is a fantastic way to spend that time.

Before you buy this game, remember that Disco Elysium costs almost the same price. I recommend buying this game only at a discount.
And now let's talk about this game.
I can't deny that the style of the game is really memorable and pleasing to the eye. The visual and art component of this game really sets it apart. But this is just an accompaniment to the gameplay and plot, which the game has significant problems with.
The game really indulged my passion for space stories. But looking back, I don't see a single original story here or one that would be at least somehow memorable. Every character that the player's character comes into contact with is a rather empty parody of many stereotypes that you saw in media. At the same time, none of these characters are duplicitous or evil.
The doctor who betrayed and framed you really wants to help the station.
An engineer who digs evidence under one of the famous influential people is really acting out of good intentions.
At the same time, as soon as their story ends, you stop interacting with them completely. Moreover, their stories don't even overlap with each other (except for the mercenary and the repairmen).
All this is served with a strong sense of freedom of choice, which broke down immediately as soon as I moved on to the next stage of one of the plots. Your only choice in this whole story is the final one. All the others have no influence on the plot or the world of the station.
At the same time, the most interesting part of this game, namely YOU, is not revealed at all. Who you were, where you got such opportunities from, what you're striving for - all this is just a couple of lines of text and that's it. You don't try to remember anything, you don't reveal the story of your body and capabilities, even the endings are basically a choice to stay at the station or follow the characters through their endings.
You're just an impersonal tool through which other characters try to solve their problems.
Now let's talk about the gameplay.
The game really attracts you with its mechanics at the beginning. You think over your actions, trying to stay afloat. Timers are added to this, through which mercenaries who want to return the "goods" of the company should descend on you. However, as soon as I solved the problem with one mercenary, they forgot about me, as if I wasn't an important commodity. At the same time, the order of the plot meetings can be broken by yourself. For example, I paid for a ticket to another part of the station in order to receive a discount on the pass I had already bought after 10 moves, completing the mercenary's plot to repair the ship.
And after a while, when your plot rests on waiting for the NPCs to complete their preparations, the gameplay turns into just clicking through the days.
At the moment, I haven't finished all the possible endings, but I understand that the ones that remain are not interesting to me at all. I'll wait for the second game, but I'm definitely done with this one.

I love this game. It made me feel so many feelings, so deeply. One of the most moving games I have ever played. I feel like a deeper, more complete person, as ridiculous as that sounds. This is art. Beautiful, beautiful art.

Do yourself a favor and go in this game completely blind, and I assure you you will have fun. You will laugh, you will tear up, you will scream at your digital pixels that are some of the characters and you will be at edge of your seat throughout this game.
Easy 5/5 from me~ now go and play this great game.
