Fantasically odd, hilariously off-putting. Lots of style, lots of substance, fun gameplay, and engaging story.
Good game.

This is one of my favorite games of all time and in my opinion is one of the best mascot horror games EVER made. It tries something new with its story and does it PERFECTLY, a true innovation in the mascot horror genre. An underrated masterpiece.
Would HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who likes mascot horror and/or Jim Henson's works.

The game ticks so many boxes for me on a personal level that I couldn't not love it! I think there were only two negatives in my playtime and both were related to enemies I didn't really enjoy having to deal with during their sections but overall they didn't detract from the core experience enough that it hurt my playing experience!

Ok, im not gonna talk about the gameplay, too many people have done that. instead i wanna talk about its story.
My Friendly Neighborhood is a pure, great example in rejecting the tropes of mascot horror to make a truly meaningful story. sure, it doesn't seem like anything special, but i think it's so refreshing in the world we live in, where mascot horror is slop youtuber bait about jumpscares, basic corrupted children's stuff, making you scream, and hidden lore.
My Friendly Neighborhood is straightforward and doesn't attempt to be that scary, the emotional core with Gordon and Ricky and the TV show is much more meaningful than anything that could've came about primarily focusing around the horrors of the puppets and the set.

Really good game, it really slowed down during the garden chapter but that hardly brings the overall game down and having implemented cheats is really fun as well as neighborhorade mode 100% worth your money

Very short, yet great "horror" game.
See it as a short Resident Evil with very few jumpscares and more like a mysterious atmosphere.
It's not that scary but It feels like an old game, set in old times. And I mean it in a good way. You're not taken by hand with tiny dots and landmarks, you just need to find your way with a gameplay highly similar to Resident Evil.
The combat is classic but the puppets' design is great and better than mascot horror nowadays because the puppets look very friendly and good (not like twisted characters as you often see in this highly saturated mascot-horror genre). They're only twisted by their behavior and dialogs, which I found very refreshing.
The story is nice, with a beautiful message that needs to be in more media than just this small game.
Duration is a bit low though, I'd have loved more content and 7 hours for 28$ seems a bit much but I had a very FRIENDLY time, so you can take this recommendation.

I highly recommend this game if you're a fan of Resident Evil style games. This was a very fun game, and the story was interesting. However, my favorite aspect of this game, is probably the voice acting and the characters themselves. I absolutely loved listening to all of the different dialog lines from the characters. It really brought a lot more life to the characters, and I really appreciated that. I do wish that the ending was a little bit more climatic, and it felt slightly easy towards the end. Granted, I've played lots of RE games before, so I know how to conserve ammo and make the most use out of the storage boxes. Overall, this was a very fun game to play, and I'll most likely come back to revisit it in the future!
