The game is a little buggy yes but I have been having a blast playing it. The multi-player has been a lot of fun with my friends. If you want to play with people on the other side of the world be prepared to lag. Yes the game also needs some optimization at least for coop. That said in single player the game is really fun to play and worth getting for sure even if not on sale. The gameplay loop is basicly loot as much as you can on and on the last msiion in the chain you hold your ground then go back to base to research build and upgrade. It is really a decent game. Ignore the off voice acting though lol. 7/10 look forward to more bot smashing.

This was a great game despite the ratings. A little rough around the edges and a bit repetitive, the combat can be very fun especially once you get to some harder missions with a insane base to back you up. The base building itself is so insanely good and makes this game worth playing on its own

Great game concept, couldn't come to full fruition because of a identity crises. So the developers stopped development of infinite siege to start working on a sequel. Outpost: Orbital Siege
The gameplay loop now is you build a tower. Then play a rogue-lite gameplay mode to gather materials to upgrade your tower and repeat. There is some story but unfinished. There are a few maps with randomly selected patches so the there is some varition of poi's but you quickly learn them all.
As of now it's a fun tower defends game that can become repetitive so don't expect to loose yourself the next few month into it. But I often start it up for an hour, maybe 2 and do some runs. So even with all it's flaws, if you don't see it as your forever game, I would recommend it.

stay away from this game
the lagg is awful
you find items, but they just clip through the floor
you recover materials from tanks, but you have no idea how much you will recover so you might lose energy for nothing
there is no abort for recovering
the same button for picking up is for recovering with energy
the enemy is somehow able to enter a bunker and wait for you in "ambush".
but unable to exit the bunker when you snipe it from just outside the bunker
some things are not explained.
you press the button and you hope that something good happens
you can recover the materials from many tanks.
but you can't transform that material in permanent turrets for your base.
only in temporary turrets. after this mission, the turrets are gone
you can find repair guns. miniguns. etc. too bad they are only on either easy maps or maps with literally 2 enemies. maybe
on the next map, those items magically dissappear from your hand

Recommended for people who want a FPS tower defense game, but it is a game that is half completed. You can see there's a lot of passion behind the game with all the cut scenes and attention to detail. But it's very clear they abandoned this game to go develop the sequel. Maybe it's for the best... But watch this space, if they decide to do a more complete job with Outpost 2 this is a series to watch out for.

Is it the cleanest TD Game ever? No. Are the enemys actualy smart... well no. Does it run smooth... well it depends if ur fine with like 10 frames on moving enemys.
BUT
Its a hell of a lot fun to gather ressources , planing and upgrading your outpost and see it in action, decimating the bots.
The rush seeing a new part for the first time or getting a new blueprint or just getting a ressource u need desperately for the next big step at your base.
tldr:
its not the best TD game out there. But it has a very unique concept that can hook you for hours on end and be very fun to play. Its chill enough that you can just mindlessly play it after work and its not that expensive so check it out if ur interested.

At nearly 100 hours: Very few bugs have come up, no crashes, great gameplay loops, engaging management, looting, shooting, base building, tower defense/rts and I'm still in awe of watching my Outpost opening firing on swarms of cool enemies. I could have gone for more story content but there's a lot of systems in this game to keep you engaged and busy.
Really glad I bought this game, plenty more hours of fun for me to go and already looking forward to the sequel.
Easy positive review.
