Wonderful atmosphere - from the level design, weapons, alien sound effects - great immersion into the world of the "Aliens" franchise. There are only a few campaigns/levels, so you'll be playing the same maps over and over again to level up and unlock all the upgrades/weapon skins/emotes. Works great in VR via the UEVR injector. What's here is fantastic, I just wish there was more of it! Thumbs: UP!

Feels like you're apart of the movies! I love how it helps bridge all the movies. Feels just like a continuation of the story. Love it! As for gameplay, reminds me of World War Z and I love WWZ also! Double win! =)

I would say this is a decent game for a FPS. Decent story and campaign. It keeps you engaged and its best to think fast while on your feet so to speak. I did not witness much bugs or glitches.

solid platform for playing with the boys. The story leaves something to be desired (I'm looking at you "Neomorphs") but if you just want to go at it with the gang, it is perfect.

Feels like the good old days of playing Left 4 Dead with old friends. Aliens make for fun enemies because they crawl along walls and ceilings and shit, and the level design from what I've played does a good job making sure there isn't just one corner you can hunker down in, so in some ways the running and gunning feels even better. As a friend put it "[as an Aliens game] they understood the assignment". It's a simple game but it's fun and captures the mood and style you'd want out of it.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a co-op shooter where you and two buddies or some not-so-smart called AI teammates can suit up as Colonial Marines and blast your way through waves of Xenomorphs and killer robots. It feels like you’re in the middle of the Aliens movie. Lots of dark hallways, flashing lights, and creepy sounds that make you feel like something’s about to attack at any second. The game is pretty straightforward: you pick a class like a gunner or a technician, grab your weapons, and head out to fight off hordes of aliens while moving from one objective to the next. When you’re playing with friends, it’s a lot of fun—there’s plenty of action, and things can get pretty tense when the Xenos swarm in. Each class has its own gear and special abilities, so there’s a bit of teamwork involved if you want to survive the tougher missions. Most missions follow the same pattern—you run to a spot, trigger something, and then hold off a bunch of enemies. It’s fun at first, but after a few hours, it can feel like you’ve seen it all. Also, if you end up playing solo, the AI teammates aren’t the brightest, which can make things less exciting. The story is there, but it’s pretty barebones. You get some cool bits of Aliens lore if you’re a fan, but don’t expect deep characters or a gripping plot. On the bright side, there’s decent replay value since you can unlock new weapons, try harder difficulties, and use challenge cards that make missions a bit more interesting. At the end of the day, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a fun and simple action game. It’s not going to blow your mind, but if you like shooting aliens with friends and you’re a fan of the Aliens universe, you’ll probably have a good time. I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10. Not perfect, but good for a night of blasting bugs with your squad.

This is a good game, just an empty one. There's very little content here but what is here is quite strong, with the exception of two missions. Most weapons feel great to use, with the exception of some heavy weapons. The Aliens sound design is flawless with a diverse set of NPCs that feel very authentic. There is a narrative that feels canon to the lore with a bunch of loving easter eggs scatted throughout the game. It was obvious a lot of passion was put into this game. However, the higher difficulties are totally hilarious to experience with special aliens taking the ammo of half the squad to kill one. I can only imagine that the devs for this game were rushed far beyond their limit because there is a lot of quality in many of the things delivered here but are embarrassingly lacking in other which feel like blatant oversights that should have been fixed if there was still a team left. Like some class perks, those aformentioned two missions, the enemy variety, and the lack of overall content to name some issues.

Very generic and dull third-person shooter. Run from A to B, hold off horde, rinse and repeat. The core gameplay feels outdated too. Not for me.

10/10 if you're a big fan of the 1986 film and the Alien universe like I am. Still an easy recommendation even if you're not. Aliens Fireteam Elite is a very competent 3rd person co-op shooter. It has great visuals that do H.R. Giger's iconic art justice, the musical score is phenomenal (literally Grammy nominated btw), and there are a nice vartiety of weapons to use that all feel responsive and are upgradable with weapon parts you can collect. Plenty of difficulty options, though the standard one is way too easy. The higher difficulties are truly how the game is meant to be experienced. Matchmaking on certain difficulties can sometimes take a while, but crucially, the game does feature crossplay with nearly every modern console and PC, so that helps. As someone who plays nightly as of March 2025 I can confirm the game is by no means dead. Btw, there's a sequel coming. It's gonna be announced on April 26 this year.
