Unlike Gate of Doom I never got to play this one. It's fun though definitely a game you'd spend a pay check in quarters on in real life to finish it. As with the Retro Classix: Gate of Doom there is that filter that makes the pixel graphics blurry. I really don't like that at all. I wish you could turn that off and it hurts my score for it some. Worth the price on sale though wish all the Data East games were in a collection together.

Isometric hack-and-magic arcade games with wizards and elves are great and this game is a lot of fun but it being in none of the other Data East packs means having to wait for it to go on sale with Gate of Doom to grab it and, man, I should've just stuck with MAME for this one because the Johnny's/Classix menu navigation is trash and the port is cleeearly inferior. How am I getting choppy framerates and weird skips in the cutscenes for a game from 1992!? "Oh, but it comes with a scanlines fliter!" Does anyone ever leave those on? Does anyone actually like that whole nod to retro nostalgia thing by people who weren't born when the game came out? Anyway, find a better way to play this game because Wizard Fire is sick.
