This was the closest I found to Stardew Valley and I had a lot of fun playing it. It has some features that makes it a bit more challenging in some aspects, such as foot rot and diseases. You can disable those if you'd like. Of course it id simpler than SDV but man, it is BEAUTIFUL! The sunrise and sunsets are amazing! It has an involving atmosphere both because of the light and the music. I would definitely recommend!

I've enjoyed this game so much. While it has some similarities with Stardew Valley/Animal Crossing, I like the aspect of death being involved and aging. I like that your family ages and you have many generations. I've convinced like 5 other people in my friends, family, and co-worker circles to purchase this game. I'm excited for the work the developers will continue to add.

I really, REALLY, wanted to like it. I have been watching their videos and followed it since it came out, and I finally decided to get it, as I love these types of games, and was so excited over the concept. But it just never really caught me, it felt unpolished (not in a graphic kind of way, as I love the graphics, more game story wise). There is this whole setup to someone in the cage and then it is just like, "oh hi, let's never talk about it again". The NPCs really just seem like they have no personality. I am not saying it is terrible, I there were some moments I liked, and it might become better the longer you play, but I just do not find it fun or interesting enough to continue to play.

The NPC I wanted to marry got engaged on the day I was going to propose going steady, so I bought a death cake and gave it to his spouse on their wedding day. Now we're married and expecting our first child. 10/10 game

Being 3 hours in, this game has a lot of potential. There is a lot of depth and detail to this game. The graphics are great in my opinion. It is a paper like style, which i have not experienced before. I have only experienced the Spring season, as i find myself stretching the days out to complete tasks, speak to villagers, farm and so forth. The days seem to feel long but in a good way.
I feel like there is a lot of directions you can go depending on your play style. You can turn off settings to make it easier for you if you prefer. You can focus on farming, fishing, and there are many tasks/quests for you to complete. So far, it does not feel like there is an "empty" feeling.
I would like to see if the feeling is the same after completing a full year and experiencing all seasons and other game play features.

I want to like this game. I do. I tried so hard to get into it as well. But it's just lacking in so many ways. The systems are there, but it feels more like checking off tasks than a fleshed out story.

I reallllly wanted to love this game, but its definitely needs some work.
Don't get me wrong, it is very cute, lots of great concepts, and has serious potential -- but unfortunately for me the cons outweighed the pros. For example, time goes by insanely quick in this game. It is nearly impossible to complete more than one task a day because of how fast the days go by. There is also aging in the game, so trying to build relationships with how short the days are while still trying to get anything done is nearly impossible. The dialogue of the characters doesn't make much sense, and wouldn't unless you have played the game for some time. Planting crops takes forrrrever. It is very slow. It was also not possible for me, and I think it would be for anyone, to know who is who without referring to a wiki. To me it seems like you are stuck in a cycle with no real endpoint unless you get married and have kids to continue the game further, and even then it is the same cycle. I also played for a few days but got quite frustrated with it after a short period of time.
Overall, though this game has some great qualities and I am really interested in seeing it grow and what updates come in the future, I don't see myself playing until some changes are made. I enjoy the concepts of real life possibilities like disease, but again I think it could be executed better. I love the art style and hope the developers continue to work on this game because it has so, so much potential.
