DON'T BUY THIS!
Whatever promise and potential this title has is squandered on a laundry list of bad decisions making the game far too annoying to play.
When the game starts, you're going to want to go to the options to turn it down, because it's too loud like everything.
You will find that of the two options you are given (volume and language) neither of them work when you click on them.
Starting a new game you may notice the need to go check the radio.
Some people will complain about controls here, but they're not the issue. It's standard WASD to move. you move your sea man around with WASD, hold A and S to climb and descend ladders, it's a non issue. The issue is that the camera does not scroll with or centre on your player character. No, you scroll it around with the mouse. your camera is completely detached from the person you play as.
Using the radio your objectives will update to get to the bridge, and a notice will tell you that your middle mouse button will open a command menu. This command menu has a bunch of esoteric symbols that probably mean something, but what those things are I couldn't tell you. clicking on them opened several drop down menues in the command menu, and then middle clicking would not close the command menu. While all of this was going on another sea man on the deck began to be attacked by ... something? I couldn't see or move around to go check. I tried hitting the escape menu hoping to close the command menu, but it brought up the options.
Bringing up the options menu while you play is a fatal error.
You cannot close this menu. You open it with the escape key, and this time you can actually change the volume and language settings, but once you're done, you press escape key again to close the menu, only it does not close. you click the "exit" text at the bottom of the menu, and the game exists to the main menu, meaning you'll need to start over from the beginning.
In the beinning the game tries to show you some photos, with some bottom text about the germans and occult stuff, but then it seamless transitions from giving you the backstory to being a FUCKING MESS. You will see slides with back story, tool tips, loading screen text, back story, what is going on?
This game sounds so cool, but it's just so bad.
Even at a price of $1.59 don't buy this.
Go buy a coke or something. You'll have less regret.

This is a jankey pre-alpha demo. From the screenshots there might be some interesting content buried in it, but without UI fixes or more guidance it seems inaccessible.
If you like the style then try Barotrauma, which is also jankey, but playable.

I bought this to do a review of it for YT. Never before have I heard myself so depressed after a video. It isn't from the melancholy of Lovecraftian literature either.
Gameplay:
Aesthetically it reminds me of retro-indie games. Pretty good in that regard. However I'm not a fan of the GUI trying to move out of the way while I'm attempting to use it (infuriating to say the least). It took me about 15 minutes to learn the mechanics and I'm still not sure I have all of it with an hour of playing. I got the furnace once, but I've not seen it since and died soon after, considering the game doesn't teach you how to use it. I tend to succumb to sanity being exhausted, but it's impossible to keep my crew sufficiently saturated and not crazy. Frankly it's not fun for me to die and die again with little to no progress being made so I don't want to play it anymore.
Known Glitches:
-I noticed in the tutorial it says to click the bridge to open the map, I ended up having to click an area near it. Minor glitch but still worth some note.
-I was able to spawn multiple turrets at once for the cost of one by selecting many before placing.

I'ma be real, this game is pretty shit.
The menu and UI is scuffed and the controls are annoying. I couldn't figure out how to exit the pause menu without exiting the game and trying to click on any of the HUD UI elements moves the camera because the camera is linked to the mouse cursor. I got to the radio, didn't know what I was doing and genuinely couldn't be fucked to figure it out.
This game really needs some work and is not ready for the steam store.
