This game is like the original rogue game from the 1970's or 80's but on steroids.

Game is deeper than it appears at first glance. Combat can get pretty brutal.

Seems great at first. But i hate the exhastion crap. You cant even do the quest b/c youre constantly losing all your gear from exhastion. It has really made me dislike playing the game. I don’t have anything unlocked that allows my character to sleep or rest and it requires you going to an inn to sleep, but they are so spread apart that you gain exhaustion before reaching each one. It’s just bad design in what is supposed to be a perma death game. If you somehow survive each encounter you have, good luck with the exhaustion and other things that will kill you before an enemy does.

Engaging and with one of the best skill leveling systems there is. Currently a bit short content-wise. Graphics is a bit on the primitive pixel side, other than those things this game is worth every penny !

i think 30 hours given the pricetag says it all. What a fantastic game. Yes, sure , there are other games that are theoretically like it in some way or other. But this game's unique blend of over-world travel, equipment, crafting, etc, does something for me inexplicable. I never leave reviews but god DAMN I love this game.

With a caveat: It's not finished. I tried out all the classes and then didn't get very far at all before it told me the main quest line is not written yet. It looks like there is lots of other stuff to do, but for me it's a "nope, not yet".
Uninstalling. Will wait anxiously for 1.0. But I can tell it's going to be real good.

Casual Player, really enjoy playing this game. It scratches the D&D itch. I get sidetracked a lot but that is part of the fun. Thanks to Splattercat's Youtube channel in featuring the game. As soon as I saw it I knew I am going to have fun in my little bit of spare time, and I have. Well worth the cost.

I played a bit as a hunter with a crossbow. Not bad. Um, the crafting I don't get. Like, how do I peel a potato? I bet I'll figure it out. Anyway killed a ton of goblins, good stuff.
Edit *Future me* Well, every ability, every skill gives points. They have their own seperate points for everything you do. Also, reading is a pretty useful skill. I figured out peeling, huzzah! I thank splattercat for showing me this game. Awesome stuff.
Aditional stuff I noticed as I played.
- certain places I investigated, even certain quest areas known to me, now cause the game to crash, so I avoid them. Obviously game is not finished, so bugs are to be expected. I'm now at a point where I got tons of healing potions, really nice gear, and a stun build.
What I would kind of change is the save system. Basically as you save it becomes cluttered. Maybe allow for max 5 saves for each character, and then we'd save over them. If you for some reason can't, at least let us mass delete saves in game, by letting them be selected in a group, and deleted. Next thing divide the saves among different characters, like give them their own seperate divide.
-Fixed my problem. Apparently there's a possible error that might happen with the steam sync if you play on 2 devices. Gotta manually copy zone data from the other device to the other. So it works now.
