Nowhere near as good or enjoyable as the first 2 circle empires games.

This is a very different experience than previous circle empires. I personally like it, though it is more taxing on the brain and less casual than the previous titles. It is by no means a starcraft or anything but you do gotta focus a lot while fighting, where to move, what abilities to use, what tokens to upgrade, merge or destroy, what regions to expand and so on. but Fighting is a bit finnicky and I found myself missclicking very often, using abilities, units jumping randomly, hitting stone walls etc. But this could very well be my own incompetence. Overall it is another good title in the Series and is well worth the asking price. I wouldnt pay more than the 13€. If you want it to be equally "mindless" fun like the previous titles, skip this one. You will be much happier with those. Minor Sidenote: It is really strange to have semi turn based rounds because more often than not you run cirkles around your enemies, switching positions and never actually attack. It is a minor issue but something that is comical at first but gets tiring rather quickly

I'm going to start by saying, I like the potential of this game, however it is currently lacking. The Single player has next to no customizability other then race and difficulty. I wish you could make the maps larger or more versatile. This game is barely re-playable after the first game and I have no interest in the multiplayer. Once I see more to this game I might change my mind but for now, will not recommend this game.

Let me preface this for anyone who doesn't own the game a "Token" is an inventory item you collect that can be used to upgrade units and their abilities, e.g "give +20 attack to this ability" "this unit can attack twice" I wish i could give this a "Meh" but I did enjoy it more than I didn't. It is a rather refreshing change from previous circle empire games but it still feels a bit janky, probably could have done with a little more testing. I do really enjoy what they are trying to do but it feels like some of the core mechanics are really limiting, i love the idea of having tokens to upgrade your units and customise them, however only 2 per ability and 3 per unit feels a bit frustrating and clamps down a little too much on the players freedom. Unit availability is a little bit of an issue as well, you sort of need to get lucky to be able to increase your army as they are part of random rewards for beating a circle or as part of the 3 choices you get when you level up. I do rather wish the token shop would let you buy units so you aren't stuck with whatever you are given (though i wouldn't mind this so much if it let you really stack tokens on a single troop, because then you could just deal with the hand you were dealt rather than be basically hampered by your luck that you didn't get many good troops given to you so you get screwed out of an entire play-through) Another small gripe is how your troops melee attack, it very much lends itself to being unfriendly to large armies vs 1 strong dude which is a little silly seeing as the last boss is usually that!! By this i mean that you have to manually target each troop to melee attack a target, however if the boss decides to attack one of your troops it moves to that space and makes every unit surrounding the boss just not attack because it moved one space away, this leads to ridiculously long battles because your horde of goblins, spearmen etc cant hit a boss with thousands of health because it shuffled a measly 1 space!!!! another small issue is at the start of a battle your troops are just placed in a blob round your commander which leads to some little annoying situations where your catapults and ranged units are on the front line, i would be very happy if we got a deplyment phase or something like that.... Overall though, i really like the concept. i just wish there were a few QoL changes like the above mentioned... mainly orientated around not hampering the players play-style when that is what i believe the shift from army composition to token management falls a little flat for me as you want to be able to really tune your units up for a fight but can't really do it in a meaningful way with the limited slots available. If you're thinking of buying the game because you like circle empires i would seriously look up some proper gameplay first though, it is very different from their previous titles. But still a fun time if you can get past some of the issues. - in addition to this there are only 3 playable factions, I know that could be a deal-breaker for some

Graphics and Animations aren't very good. Game play though is really bad. Combat requires a lot of micro management and there's a housekeeping phase where you spend resources on upgrades. It bores me greatly and can't recommend it.

only 3 factions with only 1 hero for each faction. Interesting combat mechanic but annoying in some cases, like monster fly around and cannot be attack like 5 turns in a row. Need more slot for upgrade, 3 per unit and 2 per skill is not enough. Random units placement at the start of combat is a real pain. And the game is filled with bugs and many more bad luck - sometime you only have just your hero and 1 of your starting unit card after your 10th-20th battles which mostly 3stars.

Honestly it isn't as fun as circle empires, and is quite tedious to play. I would return if not for having played more than 2 hours.

It's definitely different than previous Circle Empire games. Some of the enemies are familiar, but the mechanics are completely different, although this is to be expected. It's a little clunky, the way the game plays and how the tokens interact with each other. Not altogether user friendly or intuitive, but it's only been freshly released and I have to assume that future updates are going to smooth over some of the rough edges. It's not what I expected, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. I am hesitantly recommending this game at this point.

Sadly I am uninstalling after only 4 hours gameplay before i was bored with it. It's a shame too because i really liked Circle Empires Rivals so i was looking forward to this, but i was very disappointed. For me it seems just too basic/simple, with little strategy involved. The units all feel similar and weak, with similar amounts of HP, weak abilities and deal similar amounts of damage, so essentially it just becomes a numbers game. Also because it's not proper turned based (where everyone moves/attacks 1 turn at a time) instead everyone moves/attacks all at once, which is a big pain in the behind.
