Love when the little bot gets stuck and can't correct it's pathing, so I get to fight an infinite wave. So moistening.

I was hesitant about this at first - I thought the characters shown in the reveal trailer would be a bit cringe - but it's a worthy addition to the Endless franchise. Great lore, a diverse cast of genuinely charming characters done in a comic book style, and it iterates greatly on the first Dungeon of the Endless game without making its predecessor obsolete. Pick it up if you're an Endless fan, and if you're new here, it's a great intro to the universe. An absolute must have if you're a fan of roguelites with in-depth meta progression and addictive gameplay. Amplitude once again shows they're a developer you can get behind and guarantee that you're getting a 9-10/10 gaming experience every single time.

I wish it had more content, thats my biggest complaint. Played with 2 players and difficulty felt just right. More floors, more bosses. I had a lot of fun playing it and want to revisit it the elemental damage is fun

its a fun little game but i probably would not recommend it as much as the prequel to this game i think dungeon of the endless was a far better game

This game feels like it was made just to play in multiplayer. You always get multiple characters in a run, even if you are playing solo. This worked great in Dungeon of the Endless, because you had a nice overview of the whole map and were able to move people to specific rooms as needed. Here however, you only control one character at a time and your camera is centred on whichever character you control. This is fine when you want the AI-controlled character to just follow you around, but since waves will come at you from multiple angles and will attack different targets, you'll often want to split up your characters, and now you have no clue what the other character is doing or what's going on at their side unless you swap control to that character. In multiplayer on the other hand, your buddy will be able to see and control what the other character is doing, and is able to make decisions in real-time. There is no more need to spend a bunch of time to try and position AI controlled characters in the room they should defend when every character is player controlled. Besides this, there are also just a lot of things in this game that I dislike due to having played it's spiritual predecessor Dungeon of the Endless. In the previous game, waves only spawned when you opened a door, making progress. But in this game, waves also spawn periodically, meaning you get punished for taking things slow, which once again sucks in singleplayer because you're only one person controlling 2-3 characters. I loved how in the previous game, where and how many enemies spawn, was determined by how many dark rooms there were, but in this game, these spawnpoints are stationary and can't be affected in any way. I dislike this change. Overall, this game just feels generic and doesn't feel like it has any meat to dig my teeth into.
