The fundamental gameplay in this game is excellent even if i feel like the games not fun at all single player and should be played as a co-op experience, it is also held back by no new content being added as well a lot of game-breaking bugs.
A massive missed opportunity by not adding additional modes, difficulties, affixes and systems.
This was one of my most anticipated sequels, i really like the base game but it seems like the game and dlc plans have been dropped potentially due to bad reviews/sales.
Get on sale and play with your homie

Endless Dungeon continues to suffer from a small host of issues that mainly affect graphics. At later stages, I've seen turrets stop firing and suffered from damage that I can't identify the source of. Netcode seems to hold up okay and playing in multiplayer works well enough, but the game still feels like it's left bugs to fester and it really detracts from the experience.

Pretty good game, Twin stick hero shooter with a bit of resource management. If you are expecting DoTE you probably wont find that here, its similar but that same feel isnt really there. Would recommend getting on sale, got it for $8.50 and for that price i would say its well worth it. Played the game on hard mode, its not terribly difficult but the boss fights can be really rough. One thing i hadnt realized is that you can hold spacebar down to select how your AI heroes operate.
TLDR: get it on sale, not that much like DoTE but has some elements. Would rate it a 7.5/10.

I have seen that reviews are very negative and I, to be honest, I don't understand why.
There are bugs in the game, that's true. But I had only ONE bug in the saloon, which was fixed/reset after I filed a petition.
I have no idea what people are crying about or what they are doing in the game to trigger such issues.
Now, regarding gameplay - I think it's very cool and interesting. First of all, unique storyline and the way you can "unlock" all information from the lore. The game forces you to play different characters and visit different zones.
Each level and session makes random rooms and levels, sometimes you might get very unlucky, sometimes - very fortunate.
But in general, you have to think about strategy.
People who say that it's getting similar for each level, once again, I dunno what they mean. Obviously, against BUGS you will build a FIRE turrets etc. That's the way it supposed to be, if you want to win.
I played on 3/4 difficulty and I enjoyed the challenge. Even after completing the game, I am still going to play a bit to collect the last pieces of the lore and open additional ability slots for some heroes.
This game is not something that you will play every day or for 6 months ahead. Like most solo games, you play it, enjoy it, complete it. And, maybe, you will play it once again next year, or if you get other friends to play with.
I recommend this game for everyone who likes tower-defense games.

Bland and random, but not in a good way.
Runs are very one-dimensional, around 2 minute mark you know how it's going to go more or less.
Positive "random" events are unexciting and inconsequential.
Negative random events just screw you over, there's little opportunity there, just the pain.
Finally, the game rushes you, but for no reason what-so-ever. You feel rushed, but not because there's a plethora of things to choose from. It just feels pointless and annoying.

Highly enjoyable. No idea why people are ragging on it.
Wait for a sale if you're scared of the reviews.
But if you like tower defense and co-op with a bro, this is well worth the money.

A newer, more polished, better looking version of an already brilliant game (Dungeons of the Endless). Same isometric perspective, but your characters are WASD controlled now, instead of point-and-click like in the original. I was sceptical at first, but it works beautifully.
If there's one aspect where the original game was superior, it's the character design and the "personalities" they had. The original had loads of funny and memorable playable characters, while the characters in the remake are a bit bland.
That said, it's an unconditional recommendation from me for this game.

really fun mix on tower defense gameplay. runs felt satisfying as I learned the games systems and strategies. I don't feel much pull to reopen after 30+ hours but eventually I'll be back for more.

The store page for this game is strange, you'd think the game's in a deplorable state if you'd go by the reviews. I haven't played it for that long yet, but so far I haven't seen any glaring bugs, and the game seems to be fine.
Gameplay loop is fairly simple, you explore levels, opening doors, dealing with waves of enemies that spawn from certain rooms. The baddies rush your crystal bot, and if you let them destroy it your run ends. You can throw down upgradeable turrets, upgrade your character, find or buy new weapons, and there's a resource management element to it where you can build generators. There's an elemental damage system and you have a regular and ultimate ability per character. To progress each level you have to escort your crystal bot to a door, so you have to plan rather carefully as the angles from which enemies approach change as it plods towards the exit. In rougelite fashion, you can upgrade things between each run with the resources you find during runs.
One thing so far that doesn't impress is the variety and impact of the upgrades. Perhaps it's too early, but from what I can see the chips you can unlock are mostly bland, in the form of a straight defense or damage upgrade, though some do seem to change up your playstyle. Some things also aren't really explained in game, like what some abilities do.
All in all, not great, not terrible. Quite fun, and if you've got a friend willing to try it, I'd definitely suggest buying it.
