Stupidly overpowered game, even the best strategies end up being a waste of real life hours of time.

Was quite excited by this game, loved old school D&D and I play quite a few RTS and Dungeon crawlers.
Positive note - works very well in VR, move around the board is easy and makes it quite immersive. Unfortunately it falls flat after that.
It is basically one off board games with no progression. Spawn rate means you don't crawl, you blast through the dungeons as quick as possible or die. Play once for fun, after that is just same-old same-old. To make it worse, when I saw the game I convinced a couple of others to get it as well thinking we could build teams to develop together, we played twice and pretty much all left it after that.

IMHO, a great game, I have bought it for a few people who were too skeptical for the price point and they all play it. Worth the price a few times over for me.
Notable GOOD POINTS:
*PCVR, Quest and PC Desktop friends can play together. VR is great.
* Appropriate challenge level, You will not win every time, sometimes you will get totally overwhelmed and be destroyed fast, but should not feel stuck not knowing what to do.
*This game will get your heart racing at times...stress levels go real high.
* Scales well for 1,2,3 or 4 players. i.e. not disadvantaged by lower number of players.
*You do not have to kill everything or open all rooms, you can kill the boss and run..or you can sweep the entire floor, up to you.
* High replayability . Yes only 5 adventures and 3 maps each but where things spawn and what spawns is of enough variety PLUS what cards you get and when plus luck can impact everything, fun, time, survivability.
*Characters DO NOT level up as you might expect. I put this in the good side as it implies you can play with friends and how well long they have played will not impact your team ability.
Notable WEAK Points (Devs? Reading?)
*More cards would be nice. It is not uncommon to play a number of turns doing the exact same thing as you soon know which cards to save for boss and which are of limited use.
*frustration and defeat is too often caused by the lack of contrast in the darkness, view, fog of war, whatever you call it is not very obvious. What your character can see and not see to you the player is a subtle difference. The result can be if you are just enjoying your friends etc..you will walk into an area to get coins or something thinking the room is all clear..BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE TILES WELL...but it is in the darkness and you walk into a swarm. If the area was out of sight to the character greater contrast would be nice, a slider option would be best.
*Characters DO NOT level up. I put this in the negative because will...I think we all expect to level up and get stronger as a reward like basically all other games. related to this are the rewards...
*The rewards suck...really suck...win or lose it is only pride. Don't get me wrong, I love cosmetics as rewards but 4 hours of battle if there is a win maybe..maybe a slight difference in the dice or base of character..not the character..the base it stands on.

If you like board games, this one is phenomenal. Sort of feels like Slay the Spire meets DnD.
Also, it's generally one of the best VR games out there, especially if you want to relax. You can play it in a recliner or even in bed for fuck sake.

A very well done game. Fun with friends. Would be nice to see other scenarios in the future or even a scenario builder! But the game is solid if you like tabletop wargaming or a roleplay tabletop feel.
