as of right now i cant recommend playing the game, the mechanics of the science system and how the rover works with the timing of some missions literally make some missions impossible to finish, and if you dont pay attention to the research and miss/ research the wrong thing with how research is gained can completly fuck you over and leave you with nothing to do for a very very long time. there is a a supposed big update on the way with new mechanics it says so hopefully this shit will all change, if it stays how it is now the game mechanics completely ruin it and the game is basically worthless.

An interesting take on the factory/colony sim with a great sci-fi setting. Quite reminicent of the games; Captain of Industry and Surviving Mars, but with a strong and unique identity of it's own. I found the UI and mechanics very intuitive, but then I am very familiar with the genre.

The game tries to be good but it ends up being cumbersome.
1) You have bots to do your excavating and building. This is cool except you can't build new bots for a long time and you have to reconfigure the bots you do have between those two tasks.
2a) Being able to make Components (a specific part made at a specific factory module) is gated behind having living workers to operate the necessary factory module. Having living workers is gated behind a number of different technologies that all combine to making a livable habitat on the moon (no habitat, no workers). Getting those technologies is gated behind research. Research generation to gain the techs comes from completing contracts and lasts a limited amount of time. The first few contracts are easy enough. Then, the thoughtless, ethically challenged asshat NPC that supposedly gets the contracts starts throwing contracts at you that you're not able complete, and so have to refuse, because they either need Components or require scaling up beyond a point that requires colonists to operate machinery. I have not finished the campaign because this endless cycle of gated nonsense got irritating.
2b) The campaign tells you to make the factory that makes the Components. It does not tell you that you need people to run it until it's built. It does not provide the means to support living people to run it before it starts hitting you with a demand for the Components. The only upside is that inactive factories don't actually use power even if they're connected to the power grid.
3) There's a specific point in the early campaign at which the morally questionable mechanic is trying to tell the player how to send a drone around the moon and the formerly mentioned ethically challenged asshat tries to tell the player how to use the Contract system. The NPC sends three or four pop ups while the player is trying to do the other thing. It's really disruptive and irritating.
I recommend waiting until the 1.0 release to see if they smooth any of this crap out.

Nice mix of Frostpunk and Surviving Mars. Pretty fun, stuck on some resources trying to build things that require the resource I can't produce or ran out of but some of that is just planning properly.

An interesting strategy for colonizing a planet, the game has many buildings that can be built very beautifully, as well as large areas for construction. Perhaps in the future it will be so)

It's amazing. This game has a story and it's really interesting. The game also has very nice music, graphics, and voice acting of the characters (who make jokes about each other in the course of the game). I've always found these kinds of games difficult, but this one I'm kind of coping with. Definitely did not regret that I bought this game.

Interesting crafting, sometimes I sit and think how I can make such a quantity of loot of such a resource that damn not to break anything and still have enough for something else. Here you need to think with your head, and not mindlessly poke. I respect such games

I like the concept from your EA, definetly looking forward to the full release. I think the game a lot of potential. I think the graphics look great and you did a great job with the moon graphics and time, 28 day cycle. One complaint is I don't feel like the explosion at the start was realistic. There is no atmosphere on the moon, so I don't think there would be a pressure wave like that, nor would it do the damage the game is implying. The dialog could be slightly improved, there were some pretty cheesy lines at time.

Looks very promising, good mix, good setting, I'm bit afraid of getting overwhelmed in the future as there seem to be many activites opening up from mining, automization, upgrading, ressource balancing, multiple levels of base building, contract fulfillment, exploration on ground and in space. However, I bought it anyway and am still enjoying it

Go search for infinite ore deposits mods and weight decrease for items. This will make your experience 1000 times more enjoyable. Playing default game will not allow you to feel progress within the game because you will be constantly running behind your digging sites when they run out just to rebuild them elsewhere. This core mechanic makes all upgrades meaningless since the more you upgrade your factories will only speed up time before you need to replace their placing (and buy all upgrades all over).
With infinite ore deposits you actually enjoy the game by building that nasty conveyor spagetti which will be viable until you decide to expand or improve things instead of game pushing you to do it. Gameplay itself is fine, I like the aspect of "ground" and "underground", not sure what's up with planet view though, I guess you can explore some places when you want to chill out from expanding your base but overall it's not something that I did during my game time except of activating research scans for science points. Space drilling units are definitely WIP at the moment, too much manual management required.
The balance of skills tree is... mediocre, if you take a look at a patch notes, it actually built based on when it was added to the game instead of logical placement, especially latest one's, that's why you will find "basic light lamp" way in the bottom of the tech tree (???).
Weight reduction mod will make contract deliveries so much more enjoyable and well balanced, it's crazy to get contract for 10k smart concrete and you can ship only 300/900 per shipment, you end up losing more money just on the shipment cost itself. Luckly game is relatively easy to mod, the only thing I didn't figure out is how to mod maximum camera distance under ground, I think it's locked because there is actual Z axis ceiling max, since it does work outside.
Campaign is new, there is a ton amount of improvements needed, especially with time limited missions. I skipped campaign at the start (ignored quests) and was just building and expanding, ended up having multiple short time limit contracts to fulfill because I moved further in the game than it was expected from step-by-step guide. Time sensitive quests should be at least 10x longer on the time allowance. Also, you can't skip cinematic at the start of campaign even if you have seen it (why?).
Anyways, if those two mods would not exist it would probably be negative review, but last save I clocked 30 hours and it's quite enjoyable experience. The last end game is performance issue when you have whole lot of factories and bots, but it is kinda same issue overall in majority of automation games. Keep working on the game, dev's, give players options to adjust game balance at least for custom sandbox and the reviews will become much better. (and make that underground camera go further out, damn it)
