This is the best AA game I've played. I bought it on a whim cause of the Tim Burton art style, and it feels like you're controlling one of his dark fairytale films. It has beautiful art direction, wonderful characters and heart, excellent voice acting and unique gameplay. Some aspects of the combat feel a little tedious and are hopefully refined in the sequel but the deck builder battles are mostly fun. If you liked Psychonauts, Alice or BG&E then you'll enjoy this little gem.

Pretty cool story, lovely art style. It has few flaws here and there that I hope are fixed in upcoming games. Main issue is lack of enemy variety and the quests, side and even main ones, are mostly go fetch, fight and come back. I bit of variety there would have been perfect. Also I feel the story telling similar to dark souls cryptic messages would have helped a bit since dialogs with NPCs were tooooo long and ruined a bit the momentum. Other than that, great game!

Lost in Random is easily one of my favorite games. I’ve completed it on switch and on Steam Deck, and I have nothing but the highest praises for the team behind this absolute gem. The world building is unlike anything else, the dice-rolling/card-based combat flows seamlessly in battles, and the fully voice acted characters bring it all to life. The narration, the art style, and the progression of the world of Random really make it stand out. I would recommend Lost in Random to anyone and everyone. Random Rules. 💜🎲

While the story and world are charming enough, the gameplay is beyond unengaging. Battles are mind-numbingly boring. Every battle plays out the same and the core mechanic of rolling the dice, which pauses time, makes combat takes forever and removes all stakes. In between battles, it's a walking simulator where it feels like they added breakable pots of money to disguise how little is going on. There's no benefit to actually playing the game. I imagine watching a supercut of the story on youtube would be more fun.

Steam Deck - Not OK. (I only played PC games on Steam Deck so I give the reviews based on my experience on Steam Deck for fellow users) I knew about this game and I liked the theme and aesthetic of it. Therefore, I bought it for Steam Deck and tried to play. But I faced error in logging to EA account and could not start the game at all. I tried several times with no success. Therefore, I request refund for it. It said "Playable" for Steam Deck but I personally could not try it because of this issue. Despite of it, I still recommend this game to others because of it uniqueness and interesting theme. Just want to say to fellow Steam Deck users to be a bit careful when buying this game.

It’s one of those rare cases where you don’t even realize you need something like this. I absolutely enjoyed it. Honestly, I can't even name any direct analogs because it feels like there aren't any. It's a mix of a slayer and a card game, all wrapped in an amazing atmosphere, excellent dialogues, and interesting, charismatic characters. For me, it’s the best discovery in recent years.

Lost in Random is probably the best 7/10 game I have played. The combat is rather unique and exciting at first, but gets old rather quickly as there are simply not enough different cards to choose from and there is a major lack of enemy variety. Most combat encounters are fairly easy to beat but towards the end there are a few that suddenly feel overly brutal. My biggest problem with the combat is the fact that you start without a damage dealing weapon of your own. This can lead to quite some time before you can properly damage your enemies as it is not guaranteed that you will draw a weapon card. In general it is a major issue sometimes how slow or little damage you can deal. Almost all combat encounters felt too long. But luckily, combat is not the biggest part of the game, instead, talking to weird folk is. The writing and world building is surprisingly well done and entertaining. Rarely did I regret talking to a random npc standing in a random corner. The art style is terrific too, even so that the game from time to time looks like an animated movie. I do not regret finishing the game even though it is like twice as long as it should have been. I even had all available cards after like 8 hours or so... Kind of excited for the upcoming Lost in Random game, even though that game looks way more generic than this one. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

A criminally underrated platformer, a very unique and interesting story combine with some fun gameplay elements to create something magical. Definitely check this one out, especially with the announcement of the sequel.

my best story mode game this year so far, i felt like im watching some cartoon while being able to control what the MC do, the story at the beginning made me feel creepy and really hated the queen but in the end of the story i found out how nice the Queen was and why she was evil, for me this game worth every penny to spend on, i totally recommend playing it at night to feel the story more and more, it really made me see how lovely to have a caring sibling is, totally in love with this game, if they make part 2 im so down for it
