Unlike elegant puzzle games like Hook and Up Left Out, this game gives the appearance of pure logic of impossible shapes. Unfortunately, this game relies on some arbitrary moves regarding dimensionality. Therefore it becomes more a guessing game, as in "Guess where you have to move the dot so the game will slide it randomly into this other plane and you can finish the puzzle." Not much fun. I'd pass.

Amazing puzzle game from puzzle master. I was waiting for second version of hocus for years.

Good game with chill music and decent controls via mouse. I've seen similar ideas in The Impossible (and obviously Hocus "1"). However, Hocus 2 adds some interesting new game mechanics which are quite welcome. The gameplay is nice to if you just want to spend a few minutes playing something. It is challenging enough to require some real attention and planning sometimes, unlike some casual games that you can play on pure autopilot. The game is polished and I only noticed the one small bug in that another reviewer saw in either the the last or second-to-last levels (on the far right of the level select field), but it didn't prevent me from completing the level.

Less is more would be the title for this review. And here we go with the indie puzzler sequels, the first game was a good puzzler and the levels were more complex. This game on the other hand is boring and much easier then the first one. The developer threw so much cliche puzzle elements in this game that it made me wanna throw up. I wouldn't mind that but the elements are poorly implemented and the levels are easy. There is no sence of progression, the levels are mixed like the dev just threw them and forgot to place them in order and even if he did I still wouldn't know what the hard levels were. The game finishes on a extra easy level and I think it is fair to say that the last levels sums up this game so finishing on a low note is just right. Do not waste your time on this one even if its on sale.

A charming little puzzle game, had some moments where I was actually pretty impressed by the logic. Has a few immersion-breaking bugs but honestly they were never annoying even when things stopped working right, and were mostly just a chaotic surprise in the extremely orderly puzzles. Very nice, especially on sale!

Good sequel, but a bit more stressful because of timing elements and the possibility to die or get stuck, forcing a reset.

Interesting puzzles with a unique concept, that make you think. Puzzles generally slowly increase in difficulty, introducing new mechanics as you go along.

Unlike its predecessor, hocus 2 goes for a handful of gimmicky features, making it feel more like a generic maze game than an exploration of intriguing M.C. Escher-esque shapes.

It's just like hocus but with a lot of new features and puzzles. I love it so far! Edit: I finished the game and it was marvellous! But there is a bug at the most far right level. Sometimes the black moving cube goes out of the puzzle, hits an invisible wall and comes back on the puzzle.
