I've been 1CCing schmups on and off for the past few years, and my original arcade clear of Rolling Gunner is by far the hardest and most rewarding one yet. I really enjoyed this one - even the 10+ hours of practice runs at the end where I had to grind / tighten everything up to earn the 1CC.
Rolling Gunner has a very intuitive scoring system that I've really enjoyed getting into, and I'll keep playing this one for score and eventually clear expert mode. Cannot under-state how nice it is to have rank so clearly communicated ... as it makes practice mode setup very straightforward.
The great bullet visibility, visuals overall, and soundtrack made this something I enjoyed going back to, even as I had to grind out runs.
