Falls flat on execution but also concept. The minor graphical glitches and poor models can be looked past if there's something engaging underneath them, but there isn't any kind of story or messaging at all that you can dig into or think seriously about. To use a metaphor, I kept waiting for the band to stop tuning their instruments and actually play something, but it never happened.

I'm new to vr but when the crescendo happens in tumble wych my mouth was agape and didn't stop being agape until it ended. Completely enraptured by it. Beautiful.

Fantastic psychedelic experience in VR, needs far more attention. Great sound design and music too and interesting use of shaders to mess with perception in one bit. I really loved it! Short but totally worth the price.

This + dissos comes the closest to a full blown salvia trip. I love this game/piece of software. And as you can see with my 11 hours on record, I found this tech demo no waste at all, and have come back many times to experience this truly unique vision of the developer. I hope they make more soon!

It is quite a strange journey, but nevertheless an enjoyable one. It does captivate one's imagination. Perfect thing to help one relax.

i really enjoy this, its very comfortable for someone who hasn't used VR before and my only complaint is a lack of music. I want to actually create my own type of VR experience similar to this now, its very inspiring.

Terminus is a short, but very interesting experience. It's not in any way a game, but five unique journeys through various psychedelic landscapes. The repeating patterns and fractal feeling architecture you encounter could absolutely be enhanced with the proper snacks beforehand, and I think that is likely a good portion of what it's made for. Overall, a lot of fun seeing what the devs put together and sliding through their vision.
I do wish the graphics were a bit more polished, and I wish the worlds were a bit more realized. I felt like there was mythology to be discovered in the 5 worlds that would have been more apparent with a bit more elbow grease applied. There is a lot going on, in each environment, but I also feel that much of it was business rather than meaningful content.
I enjoyed this a lot, and I hope to see more experiences in this genre. I'm giving this one a recommendation, as there's just not much else like it out there. I do have to say that $8 is a bit steep for what you get, but if you're in the mood for something really bizarre, this one won't let you down.

There's no exact shortage of scenic / on-rails surreal-oriented VR titles but this one easily stands out with its massive environments combined with a color palette that looks like the Art Director of The Electric Company huffed a bag of gold paint. What Terminus does with its sense of scale is really incredible from miles-long tunnels and impossible geometry. There's even fleshy nude expressionless human drones doing chin ups off of impossibly high ledges. Oh and sand worms.
There's a consistency to the themes of the 5 episodes and I'm pretty sure the developers could tell me the story behind it, but with chapter titles like "Scumm Engine" and "Gog and Magog" I'm ok to just hang on for the ride. And don't let the lack of interactivity fool you, as there's so much to look and get lost in and honestly, user input would have been overkill.
Can't wait to see what these devs put out next and if it involves smooth locomotion, my body is ready.

A lot better than I thought it would be!
Yeah I'll be honest, I was looking for a trippy VR app to space out to whilst under the influence - and from the screenshots I thought "this will do".
But actually - the sound design, the physics collisions, the way it ran.. overall it totally exceeded my expectations, had my synapses firing all over the shop with thoughts / memories and ideas.
Highly recommended - if you enjoy this would also suggest Art Plunge, Air Car, Ayahuasca, Conscious Existence and Sheaf Together
