After the update, the game is playable and moderately fun, happy with what I see has been updated. The game is still needs QOL updates, looting 10-20 bags isn't fun, loot all or loot area would be nice. The changing of stances is a bit annoying, the sounds can be annoying after killing a goblin he still yells 1-2 times. Little things that I'm sure will change in time but for now it's ok.
WAY BETTER! Good job WKM, thanks for letting me know.

You know, I don't often post reviews unless a game really strikes me and this seems like one of those times. Unfortunately, this time was like being backhanded by a brick. It is not an experience I would imagine as enjoyable.
So, that said, let's get on with the painful truth. Honestly, this is a good example of a good concept, not a great one but a good one. If given more time, attention, and a larger team of developers and programmers, it could have wound up as a good game. As it is? I would say it is maybe an early alpha build or a early beta if you really stretch what that means. But is it worth calling a completed product? I don't really think so. It should not have been released just yet in my opinion.
This game should have probably been worked on for another few years MINIMUM. From what I have experienced, the character creation is a mess. The options are so limited, I have to wonder why it was even included at all. The only noticeable changes you can make are to gender and race. Honestly, it should have been scrapped at premade options should have been given. At least then more effort on the graphics could have hopefully been delivered. The gameplay is crude with no real instructions except to hit ESC and watch a poorly designed, silent video of somebody moving stuff around the inventory. The combat is confusing but not because it is complex but because it is overly simplistic and unpolished. Multiple buttons seem to do the same thing and when you are trying to learn what buttons do what in combat, well, lets just say a more thorough and interactive tutorial would have been a small saving grace. Speaking of a tutorial, remember that ESC key? Yeah... looking up the keybindings and that video is about all you get. That and a bit of lore and what stats are and what their purpose is. NPC's seem to be about 2-5 feet from where their models look to be (maybe they are displacer beasts in humanoid form? fuck if I know). You can walk right up to them and stare them in the eyes smacking that interact key until you are blue in the face all because where you are supposed to aim is invisible about a model or two in width from where they look to be. If you (the developer(s), yes you) are going to have a non-combat stance, you may as well bind interact to right click or something and make it so that players actually right click on the NPC to ensure that it is actually there. The graphics are harsh even with the settings on epic. I can't help but wonder who thought that such faded colors would be a good idea. Perhaps if the game was some sort of grim fantasy but with a lack of any clear story line, who can tell if that is actually the case. I could probably go on and talk about crafting and whatever else remained in this game that I haven't experienced, but that would require me to hit install and then play more of it and I am not being paid to do that. All in all, I would advise against purchasing this game. For what it offers, there are better games out there. It is cheap but sadly also unsatisfying.

So far this game sucks. They had a good idea but it just drops you into the game doesn't explain anything. navigating is difficult because the map is crap. it has potential but its way to early to actually enjoy. definitely requesting a refund

This game is fun and interesting. It can be hard in the beginning to learn how to do basic things like equip a weapon, etc. Watch the videos and read the Discussion section in Steam and YouTube. The developer is making a lot of updates and is active in Discord. Try it out for a few hours!

Takes a moment to get used to the controls but really fun so far. I like how open the world is. Feels more realistic having things spread out a bit rather then having mobs every 15 steps.

Thought I’d give this a chance despite the reviews because it looks interesting. There could be a decent game here or not; unfortunately, I’ll never find out because of the janky interface.
In the first 30 minutes, I opened the map and, while looking at it and figuring out what to press, managed to get both the inventory and the settings screens to pop up layered underneath it.
When I closed the map, I was now on the settings screen. When I closed that, I was now on the inventory screen, except the cursor was now gone so I couldn’t close that screen. When I tried to move the cursor my character moved around in the world underneath the inventory screen instead.
So I managed to get the settings screen to pop up on top of the inventory screen again and quit to desktop and refunded, because that’s too much jank right off the bat and a sign this game is poorly programmed (and I play Piranha Bytes games just fine).

So I've played this game 30 hours and cannot recommend it. It's open world the type of Daggerfal made with Unreal engine... There's essentialy 5 types of trees, ground can be either road, grass, snow or mountain and there's different types of elevation like plains or small hills but that's pretty much it. Everything looks the same with occasional castle or ruin placed here and there. All this filled with respawnable enemies, absolutely horrific combat system where you'll get stunlocked even on high level by group of begginer goblins.
Developer has no respect to players time and adds unnecesary farming requirements for progress like mining 100 nodes of this and 200 of that. Basic things like mining/chopping and picking up items take unnecesairly long time just so they can write on their forums that game has "many hours of content".
Moving from place to place is horrible experience and only way I've managed to get through is speeding up the game using Cheat Engine. Same how I went through some farming nonsense just cause I was curious what else there is in the game.
On top of that there's matter of character build - when you're starting you won't know which skills are completly unusable garbage and which actually help you progress so you'll most likely fail your first character build or two. Now if you'd want to respec they force you to buy reset scroll for real money - yes you heard me correctly, game has microtransactions and is a singleplayer. Probably I'd leave this game without review or positive neutral for oldschool maniacs like me if not this greedy practice. I've paid for the single player game quite more than fair price for what it has to offer and after first 5 hours was asked to buy stuff for it in the game store. Absolutely disgusting.
Only reason why I managed to play it for so long and sort of enjoy it was cause of cheats and being rather unique person in enjoying veeery old, ancient and flawed RPG games. If you're not such a person I reccomend staying away. If you are and are also technically oriented - use Cheat Engine/Save editor and there's around 20-30 hours of fun mixed with frustration out there for you.

Giving a final review update after extensive time and hours playing the game..the old original first earlier impressions will be listed below the latest updated info (this will be long but should help give extensive information to people)..
Latest update after many hours playing through the game and starting more than one character as well (this should help people wondering if the game has longevity and replayability).. - So after much more time with the game I can say without a doubt this game is definitely worth the money and is very cool. The amount of game play here for less than $20 is insane and I have personally not seen any other steam indie game in this genre that is less than $20 with this much content in it. At first the full possibilities are not clear and the game may seem a little sparse because it does not have a triple A budget, but as you play the game more you will see many interesting things open up and see the uniqueness of the game world and variety and depth to the combat and character skills/builds.
The game is also cool because the entire main game world is open from the start (no loading screens either..it's all seamless)..and unlike some other games where the enemies scale to your level..this game is not like that..it is more old school..meaning more realistic. You might wander into an area that is WAY out of your league with enemies that are very strong and could kill you fast..but that is OK..you can explore somewhere else and then always come back to that area later when you are stronger and better prepared. I like this.
Another cool aspect is there is quite some variety in character possibilities..again it is not obvious at first..but you will see as you create your character that there are 3 different levels of things that can be combined and mixed and matched to create a unique build - you have character race, your "path", and your "profession" - so there are a large number of various combinations. The best part however..is the character building is in some ways similar to a game like dark souls in that your starting build does NOT lock you out of any skills or equipment later..it is just the template. As you level up you are free to explore the skill tree however you want and develop to use any weapons or equipment you might want to also..so even more possibilities. Also there are many non-combat skills that are used in dice rolls which is a cool PnP vibe added in too like old D&D..so skill checks to see traps or stealth, or when buying items etc...
Now I will comment on enemy design and variety. So yes there are a few common tropes here like goblins and orcs and wolfs..but you also have some very nice cool lesser seen things too..such as succubus, various types of demons and planar beings, elementals, centaurs, huge golems etc..so some things that are not as often seen. The graphics design on these enemies is pretty good too..and many have unique attacks and different behavior as well..they don't just all rush towards you blindly. Some good boss battles too that I won't spoil.
A last important comment I will make is to address some of the earlier other negative reviews that said that the translation was terrible..I can say for sure that the more recent updates have pretty much improved and solved that issue 100%. From what I can see all major translation issues are fixed..and any small things that may remain are not to the extent where you won't understand what is there..it just might be a word slightly off etc but for the most part it is in good shape now and you can understand everything perfectly. And even in the case if something comes up..the developer is still quick to respond to any questions on the forums if something is not clear..but as I say in the latest updates to the game when I played lately I do not see any glaring translation issues that prevent understanding..many things definitely were fixed from before.
Original first impressions - Good game for the price. Some of the areas are a little sparse but it shows potential if more content is added over time. There is a decent base combat system in place and a nice variety of skill and build choices. The developer seems active on the forums and says he plans to continue to add new content.

It is ambitious, but janky. . .and in spite of the jank, it is pretty OK.
I'd give it a 6/10, maybe a 7-8/10 if the developers (which hopefully they will) iron out the janky bits.
Pros:
-Dynamic/Random Events in an Open World Game
-Lots of varied builds
-Challenging - you do a lot of damage, but so do enemies
-Lots of surprises, little side events, mechanics
-Flying mounts!
Cons:
-Janky AF
-Animations can be wonky
-Bad optimisation, laggy when settings are high even on an RTX 2080
-Some animations are missing, for example on a few spells, so it looks like there is input lag
-Even though it really isn't, the open world FEELS barren/lifeless

Only played an hour and i don't recommend it for now.
It show some potentiel but too much bug, too much nothing.
I mean you dont see anything. i walked for an hour to see
a wolf and some goblin spawning in front of me. Except that its a big flat world without anything.
No guideline where to start or where to go.
For now it is not a beta but an alpha and i would recommend everyone for that price to wait before the purchase.
