you either hate this game or like it. i really like it peripeteia is a game where you (super cool anime cyborg girl marie) go get to fight communists, gangsters, or really anyone you please with rickety com-bloc gats in the dredges of a heavily industrialized and decaying polish concrete jungle despite the jank, peripeteia is oddly beautiful, and for me, fails to detract from the world with it's cast of intriguing characters and lore, as each replay i discover something new

I LOVE IT. Style is amazing, shooting feels good and map is super large. Movement mechanics are also just 10/10 But textures and models are horrible, 1st person weapon models (makarov is oversided and stechkin is just a brick) are especially bad. But I guess that might be improved after the Early Access so it might not be that bad.

I have been having a really tough time enjoying games these days. Thanks for this one, Ninth Exodus. I love everything about this game. The way it plays, the atmosphere, story, the ridiculous gun recoil, the little balancing choices like making the suppressor block the iron sights on a mosin. If your're feeling this game call to you, get it! Feels like a classic 90's shooter/immersive sim game but with modern mechanics

The game is almost cool and interesting but then it hits you with the Puppet Combo Special of blowing your ears out for absolutely no reason. I absolutely Loathe when indie games do this garbage. Why would you do that. You take the goodwill of the player and give them permanent hearing damage for No Reason. Instant trash.

Game is interesting and I think on point in terms of art style. Though the biggest gripe really I have is with the maps being too huge compared to what they offer, though on a positive note quite interconnected when you manage to explore from the outside. It just ends up being very confusing at times and the game feeling quite empty, even though it's kind of inviting you to explore from what it feels like. I think there is potential, but at the moment the game isn't for me.

You play as the last living polish anime girl a dystopian cyberpunk Poland. Honestly plays like the classic Deus Ex games and its fun as hell.

For an immersive sim, I'm surprised at just how bad of one this game is. There are missing features that clearly detract from the game play during the early access period, and I'm hoping the game will improve, but ultimately I cannot recommend this game as it is. I've played games before where a game being hard or being bad is essential to the game, as if the trial of playing it is the point. Yet this game is no Dark Souls, there is no satisfaction I get from playing it. The level design, the equipment, the systems of play that go into making an immersive sim are all warped here, and when discussing these issue with the Devs themselves, quite often the results are like bashing your skull against a brick wall. A prime example of why this game is NOT an immersive sim like it advertises itself, is in Level 1. There is a pit you can find, with light that leads you to it, which has enemies in it, and you can for your efforts, jump down without dying. Your reward? An enemy that screaches louder than anything else in the game beyond sensible (peaks my audio levels even at 10% volume), getting your vision filled with spikes that stick out of your player model, and a few guns with ammo. The problem is, now you are stuck here. This 'pit' was designed, per the Dev Team admission, to be a place you were never supposed to go into. The light, the ability to get here, the enemies, these are all key things that you take into consideration when building a level to guide players to areas you want them to go to. Take now for example the 4th level of the game, Blegrade. Many times in this level there are pits you are supposed to drop into, without light or enemies or a clear way out; You would think now that the dev team has wanted you to learn from previous mistakes in level 1 that these pits are NOT where you are to go. Guess again! You'd be entirely wrong, as there are many pits in this level you in fact ARE supposed to jump into without any discernible reason to have to do so. When bringing this idea up with them, the dev team called me r*t*rd*d, and even allowed other people to chime in to admonish me for having the audacity to explore the levels they made, and exploration is of course a key part of an Immersive Sim. I've never had the pleasure of dealing with such awful people before. Not only would I suggest you do NOT buy Peripeteia, I would suggest you don't try ANY game these dev teams have made or will make, as their attitude towards their customers is absolutely terrible.

Such a unique and refreshing experience. Love the borderline esoteric approach to gameplay and its mechanics, and especially the fantastic art direction. At its core, this is an immersive sim, but its approach to gameplay is rather... unconventional, even by the genre’s standards. The game borrows most heavily from the first Deus Ex, but certain elements from S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Thief, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy are present as well. With that said... the game is janky as hell, the AI is atrocious, and the game is buggy as hell...and yet, it has such a unique charm to it that I can’t help but love it for what it is. It’s a bizarre mix of unconventional ideas, with absolutely zero hand-holding, and a bunch of complete nonsense. You’ll either love it or absolutely despise it - this is absolutely a game of acquired taste. In fact, this is the kind of game that will probably develop a cult following, with people obsessively basing their entire internet persona about it. Im not sure if thats a good thing, but i guess it is a testament to what the game is and what it accomplishes.
