Fun game, cute girls, lots of bullets. There are, of course, some cons, but for 6 Euros with all DLCs, it's a fair price.

Nice concept but badly made, just play the demo will give you the rough idea. Bought the full game to check the player progression, turns out to be a piece of complicated shit and zero fun. Refunded

This game is fun, and I'm glad I found it. It looks really great, doesn't take a lot to run, and the music is awesome.

It is quite unique, bit like a Vampire Survivor but on steroid as it is faster and you can actually use your aim to shoot and it has bullet hell features. Quite nice and next to free on discount. Works perfectly on steam deck.

Right now, even being underdevelopment, GAME IS POPIN, amazing gamplay enemy and boss design. At the moment of this review a new character has been promised, so stay tuned with this amazing game, which can only go upwards in quality

My favorite game to turn into a diashow, spend 5 hours playing properly and making the Char OP, doing smth else for 20-30 minutes and seeing my character autobomb the screen until the end. I'm not satisfied with single digits i need singular frames, please dev make it happen. Double Spawns, spawns during bossfights, half hp for mobs and double the amount on screen. Modifier for more projectiles. I need it.

Who thought that a forced centering camera on to the far approaching boss amidst a chaotic battle was a good idea is a massive failure of a game designer tbh. This single thing is the massive nope for me among the sea of problems this game has, I could put up with all the other bad game decisions, but this, it breaks the rhythm so badly I altF4-ed multiple times when the cam was forced centering on some bullcrap far away boss. It's that bad.
I want to recommend but it isn't fun
This game has a lot of good going for it! A lot, really. I liked the graphics, the presentation, the music, the sounds, the game mechanics. All of it was good. I didn't find many bugs (ok a few but small). For me, the first two or three plays were the most fun. Then it got carried away into pure insanity where the entire game played itself and I kinda just pretended to try - but really it was auto black holes and shields and missiles flying everywhere and wiping everything out. The first play sets the stage for a cool game. You have 3 different colored weapons with some variance in how they fire, etc. Correspondingly, there are 3 different colors of enemies which represent their vulnerability, and you weapon-switch frequently to wipe them out as efficiently as possible. Your weapons overheat, which limits shot spamming and forces you to play the "puzzle" aspect of the game. By puzzle, I mean having to manage heat levels, preserving shots, switching weapon colors, etc. As the play progresses, different kinds of enemies appear that change color, have no color, and so forth. Once you've finished the first play you'll open some loot boxes, which is a tedious process. This gives you guns for your next run. Some of the guns will have cool powers attached automatically which opens up some new play mechanics. As you play you'll gather resource crystals which you can take to the "shop" to unlock new power-ups to drop on the playfield. There seems to be a good balance here between what you can harvest during the game, and how much (or little) you can unlock. I hoped at this point for a balanced progression of unlocking slowly. Some time around my third or fourth play I got a crazy-good gun in one of my loot boxes. As I mentioned above this is the point where the gun was so powerful, I didn't need to try anymore. It was launching 5 black holes a second, a huge wave of missiles, chaining shots, no heat accumulation, explosions... and this play went on for like 30 minutes. I didn't need to do a thing other than gather powerups. Buy the time I got back to the main menu after that round, I had so much resource crystal that I could unlock literally every single powerup available. I got so many loot boxes that I was completely overloaded with BFGs for every color. Each subsequent play was just picking the most potent guns, and holding down the trigger. All of the mechanics of weapon switching, heat management, and even trying were gone. I gave up after this experience. Gave it some thought after having it hidden in my library for a bit, then something called me back. But sadly I found the same experience - a 40 minute round where I didn't need to try. The game basically broke itself. It's a shame.

Overall Strike Buster Prototype is a nice Top-Down Waifu Twin-Stick Shooter. Pros:

It is fun!
Controls are good.
Sound is good.
Pixelart is fine.
It is cheap!
Cons:

Error 404 no story found.
Controls are glitchy sometimes.
Background music (just one song) is lame and is looping way too early.
Boss appearances will interrupt the game play. (Game centers the screen on them. As if telling you that is more important than surviving. Also there is no way to skip that!)
Bad (and boring) boss designs e.g., bullet sponges.
Game contains loot boxes. And sometimes the box opening animation skips so you dont see what you are getting.
Game freezes some times.
Purchaseable extras are overpriced and do nothing.
Not enough Waifus!
Strike Buster Prototype is fine but you can have better games for around 3 bucks. And I want this game to be way better, so I can't recommend it to you right now. It is unpolished!

This game is like welding, just visually much more appealing. It will test your motion sickness invulnerability, your wrist strength and whether you have epilepsy or not. Prepare for awesome visuals, good sound effects, objects moving in circular, motion back and forth and of course in every angle possible. AND OF COURSE LOTS OF REPETITION! If you had problems tracing your mouse pointer in Diablo 3 you will definitely have problems here, because everything is like fireworks, especially if you equipped the shiny things you collect along your ride. You command a big butt-bold neckline trendy anime girl who shoots at everything and everyone. Your currency is gold nuggets vacuumed up from the remains of your enemies and you have energy you have to collect and manage too. The more energy you have in store the faster your weapons fire. You can buy relics that will offer you some edge against the never ending hordes of enemies. You have three kinds of weapons, enemies have three different types of - or varying - armor. You can use the collected mega-world shattering weapons, but only once, then you revert back to the default one. It's a nice game with endless repetition, a time vampire, that will twist your brain until you fall out of your chair. Damn roguelikes should perish. If you like the repetition, the awesome sound and visual treatment, then you'll like this one. + Good game idea + Nice visuals + Good sound effects - A bit too many things are moving around and you get dizzy after a while - Repetition. It's a roguewhatever kinda game... - You can't retain your things, you will start over and over again... Improvement ideas: Give it a proper story, missions, goals, bosses and it might bring down King Kong from the Empire State Building. ~70%
