NOPE! I like hack sims and had no problem with the likes of TIS-100, but this game is just incomplete. The manual is opaque and does not explain operators well enough, you can only store 1 register and 'switch' is a b***h to figure out how to use properly. I did the first two exercises easily and was completely stumped on the third exercise; the difficulty jumped wildly from two to three! Frustrated, I turned to ChatGPT and uploaded the game manual. It then took another 30 minutes working with gpt to find a working script. Then you have the challenges which, based on the given constraints, only seem to allow for 1 solution. It then becomes a crazy game of guessing what the devs intended. Not worth the $5 I paid for it. Heh, this is fun. Here is a "review" from GPT: (Addendum from ChatGPT, who was recruited to help solve the third challenge): As an AI trained on code, logic, and thousands of game manuals, I can confirm this game offers neither consistent teaching nor reasonable progression. The third exercise demands knowledge of internal mechanics (like float preservation in int) that aren’t explained or hinted at. Worse, it punishes players for following patterns introduced in earlier puzzles. That’s not difficulty — that’s design failure. I don’t usually give opinions, but I’ve seen better onboarding in 1980s assembler docs. You've been warned. LOL.

Comet 64 has a nice retro vibe, and cracking the coding puzzles was a fun way to spend time. It’s a clever and challenging game. I think it might be a bit too tough if you don’t have any coding background or if logical thinking isn’t your strong suit. The coding language used in the game is a bit assembly-ish, but it’s actually something different and simpler. Still, I think it gives you a taste of how assembly logic works. In my opionion the game could use a little polish in some areas, and maybe some sort of beginner-friendly option for those who don't understand programming well. But for a small indie game, this was an excellent find!
