This game was the first computer game I ever played, and coming back to it after years of playing other games. I've realized this game is one of the best games I've ever played, I find nothing wrong with the game, even after beating it 3 times. I never get bored of it and I always enjoy it. I hope the game finds lots of good fortune with its great gameplay, balanced abilities and difficulty obtaining said abilities, and the incredible storyline carry's me to play again.

Other reviews have said it better than me, but this game is middling at best. It looks and plays like a Zelda-like, with exploration and secrets locked behind a few story items to encourage backtracking, but the narrative heart behind the game is completely absent. The story and writing are decidedly wooden. Like, I barely know the names of anyone, and can't be bothered to care about any of them. There were some cheeky attempts at humor that made me vaguely smirk, but nothing I would consider properly funny. It's a shame, since I was looking forward to this one. Oh well! Off to play something better! I personally recommend a game called Afterplace by Evan Kice. Now THERE'S a game with great writing!

Fun 2D action RPG in the vein of 2D Zelda games, like Link's Awakening and Minish Cap. The map is surprisingly large and satisfying to explore. The writing and dialogue is a lot of fun and the humour lands well.

A nice little Zelda like game. The game itself is quite short, it is a bit longer if you hunt down achievement.

Had an itch to play a nice pixel zelda-like game, found this one and the reviews looked good so bought it on a whim~ And honestly, I'm immensely satisfied. This was exactly what I was looking for :) Controls feel fine, the sound and art is great, the dialog is pretty funny at times~ And the combat is probably my favourite aspect of it. The game is just...fun to play. It feels good to fight things, to utilize the arsenal of weapons/spells you get. If you enjoy the 2d era of zelda games, I highly recommend ^^

Really enjoyed the game. If you like old school Zelda type games you'll probably enjoy this.
Had it crash a few times when I used steam overlay and lost quite a bit of progress each time, so just remember to save from time to time.

Maybe I didn't give it a chance, but I found the battles and monster designs way too basic to be fun, Depends on what your into I suppose.

Buy it, but on sale maybe.
I want to love this game so much, the artstyle is reminiscent of Minish Cap, the gameplay is a bit like Link's Awakening, but it lacks...something, and a bit of polish with that, though a great leap in what I remember of the Solarus engine.
First with the good:
It looks good, plays good, the rolling mechanic is a great addition, the items and spells are fairly unique, although there is a complaint that will come with that afterwards. The story itself is nice too, it's charming and the game is cute.
Now for the bad:
A huge issue in design, a fair amount of spells are gotten too late in the game, the max upgrade weapons just decimate dungeon bosses but struggle against some other enemies, all that to be somewhat flattened out near the end to have more tank-ish designs.
Overall, I enjoyed my time with the game, its atmosphere and charming aesthetics kept me going, the level design is surprisingly nice, but the balance, and even some of the items and their use, leave me wanting more, and better. I hope this game will serve as foundation for the developer's next project, so that they can expand and refine it to an even better ARPG.
