'I'm Russia' could have been an indie hit if minor gameplay tweaks and proper promotion had been considered. I love the environments, namely the run-down apartment complexes and Soviet-era railways, and the character sprites are awesome. Be warned that its an unfinished game, albeit still in a playable state.

Lots of potential, very sad to see it got abandoned.
Sure it's not perfect but soundtrack is pretty good and the art style is really cool. gameplay is passable and coulda used some work but honestly sad to see this abandoned.
Coulda been something special.

For those who plan to 100% this game, don't bother. The "Factory" achievement is bugged, and according to the developer, it will not be fixed.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
The game is crawling with bugs from mildly annoying issues like glitched visuals and disappearing bullets to really nasty ones like broken saves and an achievement that wouldn't pop. I enjoyed the pixel art and simple gameplay, but the overall lack of polish was a letdown. Oh, and it’s getting delisted from Steam soon.

Since the pixel art looks okay, I picked up this game before it got delisted and tried.
In the "Stopping Sales" announcement, the developer states: "Unfortunately the game will not be finished and due to this I am going to stop sales. I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for the game to be released in full version." Given that, I expected the game to be playable but could get cut off halfway.
What I found, however, is that the game is just broken. The first issue arises within the first second of the movement: the church in the background moves faster than my character, a clear physical error. After just a few steps, the church vanishes off screen before I can even see its full layer.
Then I couldn’t jump. The W key seemed to work but only made my character look straight up, causing me to lose sight of him. Then I figured out that the W key was for jumping - but the jump was so fast that my character shot into the air like Superman, I had to blindly press D within W to make him move forward, to land on the rooftop.
After a few basic shootings, I was thrown into dialogue scenes that didn’t make much sense, and then sent on a march through a 2-3 story building, repeatedly killing identical enemies, and ignoring random blank spaces.
Eventually I passed to the next level, but the settings were nearly identical to the previous one. This time, there were cars running above the building where my character stands. As I moved forward, the car lanes disappeared, leaving only a blank background. Again, I found myself walking and killing in an endless corridor.
The next level took me to an open space that required quite a lot of awkward and skyward jumps so I had to stop.
At this point, it’s clear that this game is not unfinished. It’s broken.
