What a great surprise, most highly recommended ! As of now, absolutely lovely game, one of the best I've played ever of its type, so rich and varied. 90% of what you see is destructible, boxes (specially the ones by you at the start), armor, furniture, grass, etc. and they hide from gold to items, easy immediate abundant crafting -and usually I don't like crafting, but I do here, so well done !-. A huge map, story and objectives in scrolls in the map tab. Key remapping in inventory, gamepad icon. Suggestion to the devs: the music is lovely, but add a volume slider. Annnd ... back to the game I go. ------- As a 68 y.o., for users of Cheat Engine like me, of this delightful game : Everything is Value Type DOUBLE, rounded, Exact. Health, initial 10 hearts, Value 10.0000 (address changes in each new screen but useful against bosses), lose some hearts fighting, search again till found. Gold max 99,999, arrows 499, and inventory Items max 99, addresses change only if quitting game.

Okay, let me start out by saying that i actually REALLY LIKE this game. I played through the demo multiple times since hearing about it a couple of months ago, and was excited when it came out 3 days ago and have been playing it as much as i can since. But with all of that being said...this game definitely has some bugs/issues & and is SO CLOSE to being absolutely great...that i hate having anything negative to say about it in this "review" for it. First things first: PLAY THE DEMO (which is actually pretty long) BEFORE BUYING THIS GAME. 2nd, Do i recommend buying this game? I wish there was a "maybe" option, because it has the potential to be a GREAT Indie Metroidvania in the sense of things like "Axiom Verge"...even with the issues. I did/I am clicking "Yes" because the game has a metric f**kton of potential to it, just be aware it's got some issues. ---------- Pros: - Lots of areas to explore - Good variance of skills to use - There's some crafting, but just of the few items you'll be using around the world & you're constantly finding materials to use...practically everywhere. Grass, enemies, boxes, etc etc - There's no "handholding" like one dumb user said in the discussion board. The most thing the game tells you, are the controls & makes you spend your 1st skill point in "Wall Climbing". After that, you're on your own, which is a good thing. Cons: - #1 on the list: there is NO OPTIONS MENU/SCREEN AT ALL. The game is definitely LOUD (especially the Dragon in the forest). Like, the most basic feature of ANY game ever created, and THIS one doesn't have it. There is a menu to change your button settings, but that's it. - The Day/Night cycle could definitely be a little bit longer. 5min is definitely a bit excessive. Especially since when it gets dark...it gets DARK. Like...maybe a 10min cycle would be a good balance? - There are definitely some Hitbox issues i've come across in this game. Especially with the 'Giant Hornet' & "Void Abberation" enemies. At least to me, it feels like they're hitting me from every angle no matter what i do. Unless i'm hitting them with something long range, the Hornets do crazy damage from every angle & the V.Abberation's shots just can't be avoided once you're within range. - At the time of writing this out, About 8 or so hours into the game i am currently "softlocked" in the game. I have been literally EVERYWHERE I can possibly go, and I have ZERO clue how to progress. I need the "Teleportation" skill now to go anywhere, and It's apparently missing/i cannot find it. And if not the Teleportation spell, then I am DEFINITELY missing a Key from...who-knows-where. I have jumped to every place i can, and climbed every wall that's possible to climb & been to every screen/section i have access to...and nothing. So i don't know if it's just me not being in the right spots, or if the items have actually disappeared from the game. I even reinstalled/booted up the demo to see if i could find the items there > then see if they're in the same places in the actual game...they aren't. - Speaking of spells/skills, there's a few that are currently bugged for me: "Ethereal Wrath" is a skill that is supposed to have a 10min cd since it is a screen clear, which is fair enough. Just on my end, i've used the spell exactly 3x and it hasn't came off of cd since, there's permanently been a big X over it so i can't use it at all. & There is this long hallway full of Orcs in the "Caves" area, that i would normally fire off a few "Ice Shards" down (since they cover the full screen/hallway once fired) to preemptively clear them out before going down it since it have the skill leveled up and the shards 1-shot them now...I did that a night ago and the Ice shards stopped firing and the spell is now "stuck" and wont fire off anything AT ALL. And there isn't a "X" over it like the other one, it just won't fire off anything, ever. - There have been a few cases of enemies getting stuck in the walls at some hilarious places, but until i killed the dragon, the Kobolds on the bridge above it in the tower, would 'pile up' until they were falling through the bridge and literally raining down upon me. I figured out that i had to reset the area & put down some Fear & Swamp (slow) Totems down, and seemed to stop it from happening long enough for me to kill the thing. - This is a personal one, but it might frustrate a few other people as well: The display for how many Arrows you are carrying in the upper corner is hard to read. I can never tell how many arrows i have, because the text is White and is in front of the parts of the arrows that are Light Blue, so it is VERY hard to read. If they were turned a different way, or if the text was outlined or a different color, it'd be much easier to see. Also, those 3 boxes up there could be just a teeny-tiny bit bigger as well. Like i said above, i DO like this game...but it needs some help/work in places. I'm a huge fan of 2D, side-scrolling Metroidvania-style games...and this one DEFINITELY could be one of the best out there...with a TINY BIT more in places. And yes, I do realize that (at the time of me typing this out) the game is in "Early Access", and bugs were to be expected... This game has a TON of potential though, for sure. And i can't wait to see what kind of strides it is going to make...but just wait a little bit before buying it. (PS: If they put out some (needed) patches/change some things in the game, ill totally write up a new review. I definitely want this cool game to succeed)
