Fairly engaging, but beware bugs, it's early access and it shows, the more egregious were my credits going from nothing to absurd numbers after a load, or some of the robots just disappearing forever, despite being listed as active, also some be careful with floors (especially the angled tiles) those sometimes disappear...

While heavily inspired by Rimworld, it's entirely based around space where you play as a ship's AI! Want to make peace with your crewmembers? You can! Want to become like Shodan, killing all your crew and turning them into machines? YOU CAN! You can even become a space outlaw and get chased by law enforcers! See something that could be modified? You can easily mod it with visual studio code, all the files of the game are availables under the "Core" mod. I've already added in something for my private playing. I can see getting myself addicted to this, AND IT'S JUST V 0.13 (which adds spaceship combat)! The potential is immense and I'm excited to see what will be added!

This is a great game, I know it's still in development. New features added all the time, the dev is very responsive with changes, bug fixes etc. Managing your ship and all it's needs is fun, then so is trying to gather the resources you need, the game keeps you moving from area to area, so you are not static in one place. Give it a go and have fun with this game, I am!

really enjoyable game, but the fires are still too ridiculous, crazy how fast fire spreads in a place made of steel plates. Do better

There are some rough mechanics still, but it's an incredibly deep game with tons to explore. I am in it for the ship building, but players may enjoy the stock market, roleplaying, exploring, or the main mission. The dev is active on Discord, and updates are regular.

Stardeus lets you build utterly massive spaceships with drones and humans, and it does it with a reasonably approachable system that doesn't punish you too hard on your first time playing. I've enjoyed what time I've spent with it, and the ability to upload custom symbols and floor designs to the game only makes it more recommendable as a space ship sim.

Its Rimworld in space, and your ship is your colony. Great game with a very hardworking and transparent Dev. 10/10

maybe I do not get how to play the game, but I feel like it is basically just "wait for resources to be mined" simulator I feel like energy demands will all be met by consuming steel plates, you can try using solar panels but 150kw is just far better from one device compared to the 20 you might get from a solar panel, and the steel will take a long time to be comsumed (plus you get loads from...almost everywhere) you will need many different resources, which is the big problem - it is not like you go up tiers and thus require different resources. you will need silicon, lithium, copper, quartz, soil, plant fibers etc. all from mining, and that is all for what I remember - gold, silver, coal - there are many different resoruces with only specific spots for mining, and with few places that could buy and sell them. you will not even get access to weapons and the like until you get to intermediary technology, meaning that the game really wants you to mine and scan and mine even more ever so slowly before you can actually do anything, as you might barely have the resourcse to even build anything that would allow you to fight in ship to ship combat. personal combat is questionable because you will not really understand what is going on - everyone is moving everywhere randomly, and there are no popups for if they dealt damage or not or where they dealt damage, so you cannot even gauge how close the enemies are to dying except by manually looking at their health tab. you cannot make any more robots till the mid game. you cannot improve any robots or humans until the late game. the game is paradoxical in how it gives you so little that you want to spend your time mining every planet out in the game (the more you mine it the less resources you get, and you need to travel between systems to find the resources you need realistically speaking) yet probably requires you to fight ship to ship combat to get proper access to resources, since salvaged ships contain properly high amounts of whatever material you mgiht want I assume. but, the game should make you want to engage with its systems, not think "man, I guess I have to wait for another 3 in game days for them to finish this mining trip so I can send them to the next" it is not hard. it is just tedious, imo, and lacks tools to do anything in the early game that matters, forcing you to basically purely build up until the mid or late game. I have 40% of the tech tree completed before I can do anything meaningful with, say, combat and the like. and I really wish it was different the game gets updated still, so I really hope that one day we get something that...well, updates it like that, so that I can actually play and enjoy it. or maybe I am just doing something wrong/see incentives to do something where other players do not. it is not rimworld where you build up and need more and different materials but still rely on the baseline of steel and cloth and components (until you can manufacture them), it is not factorio where you automate procesess and where the fun lies in making an ever bigger factory, especially as you constantly have to travel between different planets to even get to mine the resources you need with the mining being incredibly limited. and it is not starsector where ship to ship combat is the non plus ultra with a side of economy and trading, or having a story/universe to explore. I just really hope that the devs achieve their vision so I can see what they were going for. EDIT: it seems that the update introducing other ships was not so long past, so it probably is simply a case of the game being in early access and thus only having a few features, hence the lack of content. but it has been out in EA for a while, with a demo even further back - so I am not sure what exactly players were even doing during that time

Is kinda like rimworld in space but with its own systems, the building and the UI is something that it doesn't get the love it deserve, i think it was redone recently but WOW, i can't build anything in rimworld now that i've tried the building in this game, the ui is also a lot easier to navigate. The ship to ship combat is nice but right now being in early access i must say it does have limited content, the developer is super responsive though no matter were you post he promptly respond (reported a bug and asked some questions on reddit and on the steam forum and he replied fast) which really shows that he's got passion for this game, i hope to see more out of it cause this can be really a fantastic game once finished, is not bad right now and you get enough content for the price imo, but i hope to see more things added in the future.
