Playtime: 30 minutes
Played 30 minutes and in that timeframe, the game crashed once and my character got "stuck" inside the floor twice while using skills. This game clearly needs further QC testing - which sucks because I was very excited for this game. May try again later, but the devs still need to work on this a bit more.

Decent RPG game. Definitely recommend mouse and keyboard over a controller for this one. Skills seem few and not too terribly strong. Easy enough to get the items needed for crafting. 5 hours in and still want to keep playing. Havent encountered anything too crazy overpowered like other reviews have mentioned...mostly the opposite, ive found a lack of challenge so far.

I'm enjoying this game very much. Nice loot and skills. It appears to be very much under the radar.

Combat is great, until this game decides to throw some nonsense difficulty at you, particularly with certain enemy types, the sorcerer as a boss is quite possibly the most bullshit boss I've ever seen in a game, they decided that this enemy should be allowed to summon drones that heal, a gigantic goliath type enemy that's way too hard to dodge effectively, elemental darts that follow you, mines that can't be destroyed (even with the cannon) totems that pulse debilitating status effects (like completely stunning you or not letting you heal) and this is ALL AT ONCE so it is quite literally impossible to keep track of, you'll get brought down to low hp but can't heal because you've been frozen, disrupted, and stunned (yes this happened to me, sure there's consumables to deal with it but by the time you get round to using it you get hit by something else you couldn't keep an eye on to dodge or parry) leading to the most unfair fight I've ever experienced in any game (even soulslikes). The whole idea of way too much being thrown at the wall is a theme in this game as a whole. And your reward for beating these bosses? Terrible loot (at least for me maybe I've just been unlucky, still sucks in a game where your level is tied to decent gear). Three different very varied weapon types is great until you realise that mace and shield is the best for 90% of encounters and cannon for the last 10%, the glaive is easily the most fun to use but easily the worst due to how the combat is designed. I like everything else about this game, but man some balancing needs to be done before I'll ever consider coming back.

Ultimately, this game is a perfect demonstration of why Steam needs a neutral option. It's really pretty, and it's decently fun, but it feels a little undercooked. If you get it on sale and go into it expecting a fairly janky but serviceable AA action game, you'll probably get your money's worth. If you see it and it kind of reminds of you Diablo meets Remnant, you're not wrong, but don't expect that level of polish. The difficulty so far lies more in jank than mechanics, IMO. For instance, as a glaive user, there seems to be a short recovery period between when one deflect/dodge ends, and you can begin another, without a way to cancel that recovery animation. In the early game, when you have a group of 3-5 enemies and multiple of them are ranged with some that can fire burst shots with tracking projectiles, it means you're gonna get chipped to death without much you can do about it, given the rather excessive amount of damage you take early game (and the relatively little you deal out until you get lucky enough to get a decent weapon drop). It's a confusing oversight, as it took me about 20 minutes to recognize there wasn't much to do but activate a Shield Recovery item before every fight and hope I didn't get killed by getting repeatedly hit during that period. Overall, it's fun. Do I regret buying it? No, it's fun for a few hours. I'll probably come back every so often to see if updates fix some of the things I dislike, because I like the core of what's here. But I would recommend waiting for a sale.

Pretty fun game that really rewards exploration. Quests can be a bit obtuse and difficult to complete if you're not thorough.
