A flight combat game with Ace duels, UFO maneuvers, EML (charged shot). Recommended by an Ace Combat 7 player.

Low key little 3D plane shooter that's decently fun for the hour or so you're likely to play it. I beat the campaign in 30 minutes including buying every single upgrade, and at that point you're left with the endless arcade mode, but unfortunately it's not the most exciting mode. It has leaderboards but you can't scroll through them, so you just get a little snippet of where you rank and a few people around you. Game controls well but the framerate crashes pretty badly when there's a lot going on. Worth it when it goes on sale for a buck, as it has a few times. 6.5/10

Very fun, addictive game.I found myself playing into the wee hours of the morning, wondering where all the time went. It's also perfect for kids. I really enjoyed it.

+ Simple fun + Stylized gameplay graphics + Sharp controls - UI works, but reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy sucks - Upgrades don't mean much - Game becomes exponentially harder as you play - Lacks content / story I didn't play for a whole hour, but it's worth the $2.45 on sale. It has potential, and I'd like to see this game being worth $10 so I can enjoy it and preach it. Feels unfinished.

Fun, simple sky brawler with plenty of repeatability, would definitely recommend, picking it up to try once its on sale. Wouldn't consider it worth full price, but even a small discount makes it worth the purchase.

The game rules. I get to shoot things down and collect money without worrying about any of the other stuff that bogs down more sim-based games. This is pure blowing stuff up action and gets addictive when it gives you instant restarts. The story mode could use a bit more depth I guess but that's a minor quibble when the main survival mode is really fun. Great pick up and play stuff.

This is by far the most exciting thrill ride of a highscore leaderboard battling game I've played in many years. At the start, you are set to begin unlocking the other pilots and weapons (3 of each). It may seem like a huge hurdle, but once you get your mind past the unlocks and just concentrate on the leaderboard, it becomes all or nothing. Set in a retro 90's look with it's vibrant landscapes and scan lines, you feel right at home. (Well I do). The chiptune music sets the scene for the 3 stages the game throws at you. First a light tune as the first wave of enemy ships spawn in, then a faster arrangement as the flying centipedes swoop around and finally the boss music kicks, and you know by then, things are gonna go down. In no way does it sound annoying or repetitive (I'm currently 10hrs in), the only annoyance is when you die and have to start again from scratch...but which you do immediately :D Rage quitting is easy to do too, but like all rage quitting games, like Super Hexagon... you always feel the need to give it one more try. Another awesome thing is that the dev is constantly engaging with the fan base and developing the game based on feedback. We've seen more worlds to fly around in and new ways to reach new heights on the board. The controls are tight too and no death feels cheap. If you love highscorers, there's no better title than Skycadia to fullfill your need. Do I reccomend this game? HELL YEAH!!! :D

Fun gameplay, cool retro visuals, and it'll make you feel like you're playing in an actual arcade cabinet. It's a must-get if you love dogfights. I think the only downside is the lack of extra game modes (besides the standard arcade mode), so that you can play more.

Fun dogfight game (the airplane kind, not DMX kind) with kind of retro 3d graphics, really enjoying it so far. Working on upping my dogfighting skills so I can collect larger bounties during rounds and unlock some of the additional content! Recommended for a fun, easy to learn game that doesn't require a large time commitment to jump into and play a few rounds. Edit: there is some cool stuff that happens when you can survive longer in rounds and build the per-round bounty -- definitely more depth to this than initially meets the eye.

The graphics are vibrant, sharp and give a retro-styled feel. The sound design is good in general, but i think the music could get some more work, as it is not very engaging and it becomes repetitive after a few minutes. The gameplay is easy to pick up and play, as the mechanics are extremely simple, maybe too much for it's own good... so i got bored fast and thought "is this it?". I think this game should get a little bit more depth and ways to engage the player, more objectives to do, more maneuvers (like a way to control thrust to manually stall the plane for example) and it would be good if the game communicated better the objectives to the player, as it only states "kill these guys and collect money". I get that the idea is for the game to be simple and minimalistic in essence, but with a presentation so pretty, the rest feels disappointing, like a very pretty good looking tech-demo (that you have to pay to play). In conclusion, i'd like to see more of this game, and i sincerely think there is potential for something special here, but sadly there's just not enough content and gameplay to justify the admission price at the moment.
