I played Stranger of Sword City on the Vita originally. I am very happy to see Revisited come to PC along with Saviors of Sapphire Wings.

Unacceptably bad port of stranger of sword city. I genuinely loved playing ths game some years ago on pc and thought I would check out the new version at some point. I heard the release was rough so I waited a few years hoping that they would fix it. Unfortunately this was clearly an awful cash grab to ry and get a few easy sales while putting minimal work into the game.
HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU RELEASE THIS GAME WITHOUT MOUSE SUPPORT!!! The original game, which I can still play, has mouse support. How do you add content to it but remove support for the input style that makes the most sense on pc. Controller is still buggy as well so the best option is... to play with keyboard only!? how in the hell can in be considered acceptable to make your game only playable with a keyboard and no mouse!? And then just not update that at all?
There are many other issues with this version of the game from a quick glance. You cannot fullscreen the game or change most settings from SoSC and instead have to go to the other game or make a new game to change most settings? how does that happen if there is any kind of work put into the game. This is a port that was most likely put together by 1 or 2 overworked and rushed devs to try and put something out.
This gameis bordeline a scam. The only reason I would not say that it is because the original SoSC is still availlable on steam at the very least.
Here are the only two reasons to buy this insane disapointment:
- This is the only version of Saviors of Sapphire wings on PC
- If you don't mind the awful controls and bordeline unplayable port, this has some extra content over the original stranger of sword city
If you are interested in Stranger of Sword City I strongly recommend buying the standalone version. It is a much more functionnal version of the game and many of the updates to the revisited version are questionnable in the first place. It is also cheaper.
I am strongly considering refunding the game. The worst part is that saviors of sapphire wings is only available in this awful format or on the switch, where it costs significantly more, especially considering steam sales. NIS knows this game would never sell without discounts. So your options to play Saviors of Sapphire wings are this broken and frankly insulting port or paying over 4 times the price on switch (assuming you have one) and then you obviously still don't get to play on mouse and keyboard obviously. This is just a slap in the face to fans of the games and will make me very cautious of any game with NIS involved in any way.
