It's a fun retro-style point-and-click game with a beautiful story.

Really shows an understanding of good storytelling. And a rare case of less annoying voice acting.

A really good game. Pleasant visuals, but that you can see from the store page. What's really amazing is just how many unique animations there are for the interactions and the variety of text box sprites, especially for Cleo. Special shouts to Cleo's running animation. I was expecting a sped up version of the walking animation, as seen in (what I believe) is most pixel art games with two different movement speeds. No, once you hit shift, Cleo SENDS it and it made the act of just moving around really amusing to me. Really interesting game play. I hate puzzles, especially ones where you find random objects and have to find somewhere to place them. By pretty obvious extension, not a big fan of point and click adventure games. I picked this game up because I wanted to play a pirate themed game of any variety, and I saw multiple comments praising the puzzles as good while also stating they are on the simpler side. Both are true. The puzzles are really creative and well made, but I can't really go into why as to not ruin the experience. The story is great. The way I'd describe the experience would be to choose your favourite show and its best episode. That's basically this game. Doesn't take too long to complete, both in real life and game terms, but it's got both amazing humour, good twists and a really great emotional moment. The scenarios created to facilitate the puzzles are also really creative. I picked this game up on half price, but I'd pay full price for it.
