I really enjoyed the first game, but this one is a great disappointment. Simply put: This game is woke. And not in the "it has black characters" sort of way, as the store pages show. I don't mind diverse characters. However, it is woke in a different sort of way that, if I were to put in this review, it might be removed.
It isn't an "in your face" like certain other games, it is subtle on it's wokeness, but it's present as early as the rat campaign. I wish I could go into more details, but I'd rather this review stay up.

Don't listen to the people saying the campaign is poorly written. It's a fun and well written story, much better than the writing in certain other games in this genre out on steam.
I personally suggest using custom difficulty to set the undo's to the maximum amount allowed, so you can test things out and aren't constantly locked into a missclick or a misunderstanding of what a unit would do. Overall, worth your time if you want to play a game in this genre with a solid, fun campaign that'll entertain you for a good 20+ hours if you don't rush it.
I don't care about multiplayer so not much to say about that. There's a roguelike game mode which should keep you going for a bit longer after you've finished the campaign.

I tried the campain but it is way more story based than gameplay based, which is a bummer since i liked the gameplay. But with this i cannot play it.
