Not worth your money and time in it's current state. Too easy even for a casual game & no private inventory stash. Not to mention game breaking bugs that causes your friends to permanently desync time of day.

If you played Valhiem this is the downgraded version. The tutorial starts off nice and then just up and leaves you. Then you spend 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get tanned leather only to learn you cook it in the fire place. The combat is fast paced. That's the only thing that's fast in this game. Have fun swinging your tools every 3 seconds. The camera can't be locked so enjoy fighting it more than anything else in this game. Why am I paying GOLD to upgrade my backpack at the workbench? Who am I paying....The bench? Luckily you can block with a button press...Not with your mouse. There is a bow. I wouldn't recommend the bow. Everything is just so slow paced that I wish I could play the game at 3x speed. They have this minigame where you have to click when this bubble shows up. Most enjoyable when fishing because if you miss the click you lose the fish and if you click when it's red you lose the fish. There's more but I already wasted 4 hours and still haven't made a a proper home because I can use my death as a fast travel to transport items to my box.

Very decent ARRG including base building & farming. I enjoyed a different style of inventory management and critical damage systems. Combat is simple, though not always easy. The combat can feel a bit punishing in the beginning but it becomes much more forgiving as you become more powerful via the passive skill tree. There are plenty of items to find and a medium-ish world to explore - above and under ground. My favourite thing has to be how the game mechanics greatly reduce several tedious aspects of survival games as you progress. After my first 50 hour solo playthrough. I completed 95% of the [strike]achievements[/strike] quests, It was a lot of fun in coop too. I'd be happy to revisit this game again with friends. Minor criticisms about draw distance and pop-in that lead to frame drops. The game mitigates it by pushing the camera into a more top-down angle than you might prefer for much of the exploration. The underground feels a bit bland pretty quickly except for a few points of interest and [strike]all[/strike] most of the minerals you'll need for upgrades.

Great concept, not a bad game, but it gets boring fast. Talent system is meh.

I think they were on the right track but 8 years and it's still just buggy half finished trash that at this stage and rate of development will never actually become anything at all.

I really enjoy this game. It's not super serious and more of a calm ride, which suits my game style these days. I think my favorite part of this game is that at no point did it turn into an "Inventory Management" game. I don't have a house with 100 chests and labels for each of them. Overall, it's been a fun ride and I hope they add some more content!

Despite some very minor improvements, this game is genuinely awesome. If you're looking for a cozy survival game with some rewarding gameplay - check this one out. I often compare survival games to Valheim, as that is my golden standard and introduction into the genre. While this game isn't quite as gritty or challenging, a lot of QoL improvements are seen in Len's Island. For example, the inventory system is burdened by the size of your backpack, rather than weight encumber-ance(?). The progress is not gatekept save for perhaps the materials needed exceeding your carrying capacity, which is easily resolved by upgrading your backpack. Very charming, respects your time, challenging if that's the way you like to play. 9/10!

Camera in this game is absolutely ridiculously bad. There's a mod that fixes it, but the mod breaks whenever there's an update. The updates bring little to the game other than breaking the camera mods core functionality. I realllllly want to like this game. It's fun. But having to drag my fucking camera every two seconds is enough to make me give this a negative review and not play it. C'mon game dev. Someone DID THE WORK FOR YOU. Add the camera mod as part of this game. It's ridiculous that I have to adjust my camera every other damn second and often I just need to hold my right button down the entire time I'm playing? And this has been in EA for four years and this didn't get sorted out? Again, I like this game. It's fun. But little things like this make me hate the time I spend on it so I won't be spending any time on it I guess.

Played a bunch of games similar to this including Valheim etc. I absolutely had a blast. It was simple, low learning curve and great QoL for a dad who doesn't have time for tedious tasks. I really am glad I randomly downloaded this game. Beat the whole game solo which I though was a great experience and so relaxing. I looked forward every night to turn the lights off, sit back and chill on this game. Good fighting, farming and fishing etc. No bugs or issues. Highly recommend if you're on the fence about trying.

Pro: Has detailed difficulty settings to allow you to dial in the experience you want Con: Yet another Early Access failure. Honestly, "Now in 1.0!" is a warning sign more than a selling point. Final progression tier was rushed for 1.0 launch and not fully tested. Feels completely off from the rest of the game as if the devs have just "made it harder" rather than extending the flow of the previous progression tiers and requires steps out of character for all of the gameplay that came before it. As such you cannot progress into the final dungeon unless you craft the final tier of pickaxe, a requirement unlike any previous tier, and they make it require Tungsten ore to craft, which they only spawn on the Frozen islands they also added in the final 1.0 update. Unfortunately they didn't test the world spawning to ensure that Tungsten will actually spawn on these islands and after hours wasted searching the entire map I discovered my specific world generated without a single Tungsten ore spawn, locking me out of progression completely- in this world I cannot complete the game. At all. GAME. BREAKING. OVERSIGHT. I had to generate a entirely new world and raid it for Tungsten which I found almost immediately, but that should not have been possible to happen in the first place. The game is shallow, completable within 10 hours and most of the additional features are not necessary to the gameplay loop at all- you can skip the Harvest Moon / tower defense / outpost building / automation aspects entirely without issue- they only work on the low level resources that you get more than enough of without needing to engage with these systems at all.
