No one lives in heaven is a game made using RPG Maker Engine. At the moment, it is not really popular engine for games, but here we are, here is the game made with RPG Maker.
So, in my opinion, the game is story-based. There are simple JRPG fights that are not that good as in Cthulhu Saves the World, for example. I won’t say anything about the in-game story, because you should be aware of spoilers. The game is kinda interesting and the story is breathtaking. But, the story is not as good as in To the Moon. To be honest, when I firstly launched that game I would never thought that it will be good. But when I played it for the first 30 minutes my reaction was “Wow, is it a really good RPG Maker game?”. And yes, it is good.
Of course, graphics are not very good and even half of the game is made with RPG Maker assets. But as we know, RPG Maker games are not about good graphics, right? But I you are really “graphics-lover” person, you would better choose another game, for sure.
I played only 2 hours and I don’t know much about game replayability, but developers say that it took 40 hours to complete the game. Yes, you choose in which way the story will go, but I won’t say that this will affect the world that much.
In conclusion, I can say that if you are RPG Maker games lover and you don’t need to fight much and you are okay with No one lives in heaven graphics – you should buy this game. But, you would better wait for a discount, because the price is too high for this type of game.
P.S. Achievements doesn't work on my version of the game, but as I can see, someone got them, so this is may be problem of my PC.

No one lives in heaven is an interesting and original pixelated RPG.
The game has a rather interesting storyline where the main character, that is to say, player, perform quests from NPC characters.
The most important change in this game in comparison with the bulk of similar games is that any task can be solved in different ways, and the ending of the plot can be different and depends on the decisions you made. Every solution is unique, and sometimes you don’t know in advance where they will lead.
Quests are moderately complex and almost always you need to think a little. Interest is rewarded in this game. Repeated conversations with NPCs sometimes open up new possibilities. Freedom of choice coupled with a good sense of humor can delight any player.
The game is really good. It is based on characters and history, good functionality and the ability to go back and replay some moments again. This is rare for a recent release of indie games.

"No one lives" is a decent open-world RPG with pixel art. The player is allowed to choose the gender of the character, as well as make decisions during the passage, but he must always remember that every decision has a consequence. Battles with enemies are presented here in turn-based battles.
This game does not have high-level graphics, but as a rule, the main value of games of this genre is the plot and its development. It is in this regard that everything is in order with the game, but this will still not seem attractive enough to graphics lovers, they should look at something else
In general, I can say that if you are a fan of games made in this style, then I definitely recommend it for purchase, the game will not disappoint you

Quite a large and lengthy game.
To be honest, I only recently started playing, but the impression has already formed. The game has a very wide variety in literally every game mechanic. Lots of game situations, sense of humor, choice and much more.
You can spend several hours in this game in a row and you won't notice how time flies by. In general, my opinion is unambiguously positive, I will continue to follow this game.

Interesting rpg. At first, it became clear to me that No one lives in heaven would not be an easy and quick walk. The game has a lot of various quests, the characters with which we can interact + I would also like to note a very pleasant soundtrack.
Definitely, this game is not about graphics, but primarily about a plot in which we ourselves somehow build our fate. Definitely recommend!

A german RPG? Okayyyy. But a good one? No way!
That was what I thought when I saw No one lives in heaven. But I gave the game a chance.
My german is not "the yellow from the egg" like the germans say for fun but I could understand enough to play it. My picked up language skills and google translate helped a lot. Nevertheless a translation into other languages would've been nice. But as I said before, I understood enough to enjoy it. And I really enjoyed. The game is one of the funniest and best
written (as far as I can judge this point) RPG's I've ever played. You get into an abandoned game world with NPCs who know that they are NPCs. I played only a few hours because of my rare time but these hours were great. I hope I'll be able to finish the game in future. But the content is very extensive. Maybe it will end like my Witcher save state :D But maybe not. We'll see :D

'No one lives in heaven' is a quirky little RPG Maker game about being the first player to play a self-aware RPG that's been abandoned by its creators. Lots of games break the fourth wall and whatnot, but rare is the game that makes it a core component like NOLIH does. It's not treated as a throwaway gag or exploited for some cheap 'winks to the camera' so to speak, but is baked into all the characters and quests.
Gameplay is mostly quest-based, broken up with standard turn-based combat and the odd minigame. Combat is the same old song and dance you've seen a million times, competent but nothing special. The minigames as well are either pastiches or simple diversions. Fortunately, interacting with all the NPCs and taking on all the various quests is more than enough fun to carry the experience. On the surface, many quests seem like (and sometimes are) simple fetch/go here kill this quests, but just as often there will be something to spice it up: a funny NPC, playing with your expectations, etc.
The tone can range from obscene to saccharine, wistful to absurd, but overall is lighthearted and funny. There are also some parts that invite a bit of thought, like the philosophical discussions or certain NPCs that raise interesting questions about the nature of their existence. The story and pace are meandering, so this is definitely a 'sit back and enjoy' kind of game. The story itself is very unpredictable; at multiple points, I thought I had the game figured out, only for it to defy my expectations once again.
The music is pretty good, some tracks are great, some fairly generic.
My playthrough took me 23 hours, but I wasn't terribly thorough, and many quests have choices to make which does enhance replay value. Some are simply good/evil binaries, but not all.
Being a German game originally, the English translation is kinda strange in places, but usually it falls on the charming side of strange translations, and only once or twice was I unable to figure out what the meaning was.
The developers themselves are friendly and very good about patching any bugs or typos brought to their attention.
All in all, NOLIH is an endearing little game with an intriguing premise, and a real hidden gem.

The game is not as big as the Final Fantasy, but it is well balanced and has certain subtle aspects of it that give it a unique charm.

+ Open world / freedom of choice
