One of the hardest experiences of my life. My blood boiled with rage as the game went on and on. Would recommend 10/10

I bought this game while on whippets and its actually pretty fucking good but it should be cheaper for its own benefit,, I wouldn't have bought it if I wasn't completely mentally gone at that point.

I bought this on sale a couple years ago. Its a short platformer with linear story progression and cute pixel art. The gameplay despite being pretty basic was pretty fun due to the games fluid level progression. Controls are fairly responsive and the difficulty casual at first, then average with a couple spikes that required some trial and error. Overall a nice little platformer to pass one evening or two.

Shiro is a very short platformer where you play as a girl traversing a mysterious world trying to find her sister. Because of its short length, there isn't much depth to it. There's only two or three mechanics that you learn throughout the game, which can get a little stale, but the way the difficulty scales towards the end compensates for it. There was a bit of jankiness to some of the movement. For example, whenever you jump, the game accelerates your character in a way that most games wouldn't, but it's something that you get used to over time. The graphics are pretty cute, and considering how quickly you get through this game, I'd recommend it to anyone that likes cute-looking platformers and just wants a short experience!

Personal opinion: a somewhat atmospheric plaformer with simple combat mechanics. It's not really a type of game you have a reason to come back to, but i just want to take a break sometimes and walk around the map while perhaps having a conversation with friends. Yes the game is really short, but you shouldnt refund it right after(starting off the fact that its not that expensive). After all we gotta show support to some developers who arent widely known...yet.

Rating: ★★★★ - Great Time Played: 1.5 hours Gameplay: • Short platformer similar to 'Celeste' with decent hack, slash and dodge mechanics. • Smooth and responsive controls that make platforming enjoyable and precise. • Clever puzzles that strike a balance between challenging and accessible, with gradual difficulty progression. • Interesting platforming mechanic involving bouncing off sigils, similar to the Bash ability from 'Ori and the Blind Forest', that keep gameplay fresh and engaging. Story\Dialogue: • Minimalistic storytelling that relies on rescuing your sister. Graphics\Music: • Pleasant Pixel Art visuals with a distinctive art style reminiscent of the Sega Genesis and SNES. • A somewhat forgettable soundtrack but inoffensive to the ears. Before you Play: • Know that the last two regions are particularly difficult but a worthwhile experience. • Have patience for some trial-and-error moments in puzzles.
