very atmospheric game. the game is just full of misery and it portrays the horrors of war so well, especially in that mass grave area near the end of the game. it really feels like i played not one, but a couple of survival horror games. the game is really packed with content. overall i had a really good time with it and it was hard to put it down

The only classic survival-horror experience set in WW1 without sci-fi or supernatural elements. Fantastic game, took me about 15 hours in game time to complete. Tense gameplay, strategic item management. Weapon upgrade systems, it's got it all. Large variety of player choice impacting gameplay and endings. Here's hoping we get a sequel set in WW2

Don't know of the developer will read this, but this a really good game, just got annoyed by the shell shocked effect and the way to activate the secret ending. Combat is fine for the most part but that jumpy cross hair gets really annoying after a while. Had no problem with the backtracking or ammo. I like how portrays the horrors of war but I felt it lacks some dcary moments Overall a solid Survival Horror. Hoping for a WW2 sequel.

The demo was way better than the full game. I also had the game bug out in chapter 4 and prevent me from progressing. It refuses to update with my main story progress, and there are no guides detailed enough to explain if I missed something. Buy Crow Country instead, it's not as much of a disappointing bait and switch compared to the demo.

Nailed the feel of survival horror without any of the horror. First of all its an amazing game and I loved the flow of combat and how it makes you feel like a lord of war when you get to use your weapons and tools properly and prepare attacks on the enemies. My only real complaint was it really was not scary outside of a pair of decent jump scares. I am also annoyed by the ending system but that is just a skill issue on my party. Overall 8/10 game visuals 10/10 love the art style game play 9/10 sometimes I have my character get stuck on terrain and had a couple enemies just get stuck in map corners or edges and were just easy kills story 6/10 serviceable and somewhat compelling if you are not really into the first WW its alright just feel like a very generic tale of I must save my family member spookieness 0/10 the enemies don't change at all after the first area and just repeat which is alright but that combined with the grounded story and the fact that these are just normal guys kinda makes the scares a miss

Great retro survival horror, especially as one of the few that emphasizes resource scarcity through a limited inventory.

An instant survival horror classic. Hope to see more by Jordan Mochi and his take on the "atrocities of war" as a concept for psychological horror.

Fantastic visual and premise ruined by tedious combat, relentless padding and annoying backtracking.

Conscript is an old school game, perhaps a little too old school. Alot of little things prevents it from being truly enjoyable, especially the more as you play. Pros: Enjoyable art style and direction Great story telling Puzzles Cons: Alllllooooottttt of back tracking No mini map will make you press that M button to know where the hell you are every second. Combat is not really satisfying Some map design will make you run like a mouse in a maze prolonging every tasks for no reasons It's worth picking up on sale. Overall score 7.1/10
