This was a really fun read. It's unusual for me to like this sort of setting but the story was captivating. I especielly liked the enemy agent and hope we get to see more of them. I really hope there is a sequel to this.

Characters were a little sparse/underdeveloped for my taste, like conversations could stand to be a little longer but always got cut short for the sake of pushing the plot instead of giving anyone room to breathe. I had a good time reading it and I'd recommend it if it was on sale, but I was acutely aware that I was playing a game and raising character's stats rather than just enjoying the story.

the story is pretty cliche but enjoyable and pretty immersive nonetheless. would recommend if you're looking for a fun time and an engaging but not too challenging read

Great story.
The first couple of chapters do a great job at allowing you to flesh out which abilities and skills you want your character to use.
The stats are very useful in the game.
Even when providing you with "default" choices, the game does a really good job of allowing you to customize your choice/approach.
Agent 100's opinion stat and his associates' stat are conflicting/confusing.
The game could do a better job when including other languages; So that english readers are able to follow the plot in those instances.
The game does a decent job at allowing you to improve relationships with characters you feel invested in.

This is one where I wish there was a neutral rating. The Aegis Project(TAP) is a classic movie style spy tale. I went in with dreams of being like 007, and the story is more like the Jason Bourne series. Both are good but very different in style. It starts out in classic style at a casino. The author cleverly has you determining some of your character from the beginning through the choices you make in the scenes. However, there are some disturbing indications of what you are in for when the "bad guys" turn out to be good and the "good guys" turn out to be enemy agents. Called back to HQ you are told you are being assigned for a special mission that is also a test because you are in line for an important promotion. BUT the Director tells you your success or failure in the upcoming mission will be the sole criteria for determining IF you get the promotion. All your previous experience does NOT apply. I have alarms, red flags, and sirens going off in my head. Next you go to their Equipment Labs and told you can only take 3 items from the list. You have not been told ANYTHING YET about the upcoming mission/test. This is like going to your local automobile club to get a road map BEFORE you have chosen where you are going. Not surprising then that none of the items I chose where useful in the mission. I suppose you could call it a reason to replay the game. I found it irritating. There is a good spy tale here, but the way it is presented makes this one a matter of personal taste.

This is one of the best IF games I've ever played. I love the story, our MC, and even the villains. I think Angel is my favorite character, they're great fun and their romance is 10/10 good stuff. If a sequel ever comes out I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Comparing this to other choice games, this game fits comfortably into the 'ehhhh' category.
It is technically competent, the plot is interesting enough, but after thought I just can't think of a reason to recommend this over others.
While some of the characters are somewhat memorable, I never really got attached to any of the characters.
The stat checks were sometimes unclear, leading to it being somewhat frustrating when the game laughs at you fail one of them when it seemed perfectly reasonable.
In general a lot of the ideas seem to fail to reach their true potential, feeling half-baked and incomplete. The game in general feels a little undeveloped - the plot feels incomplete. (Probably sequel bait)
Overall, while I don't think it's a bad game...I don't think it can hold a candle to some of the more polished stories of this genre.

OH MY GOD…
I have finished the game and I am speechless. It is such a piece of art. Like LITERALLY <3
Firstly gameplay and plot - it’s quite easy to get which choice raise or demand specific stat so player won’t find it annoying nor hard. I myself found it quite enjoyable because of because of the mentioned clarity. Story was truly interesting and I really liked that you have variety of options and motives. For example you can be honest and loyal to your agency or cunning and priorities your benefits or be loyal but follow your guts, not always what your bosses want.
Then romance - Angel is my love  I personally really enjoyed this bitter-sweet route with a pinch of dark and enigmatic ending. But no more spoilers… Other romance routes such as Gareth or Vicky are more romantic and “normal” and easier for player to get. But I personally recommend everyone to try our enemy spy route.
I recommend it for every fan of spy stories. I, as a fan of romantic stuff, wasn’t disappointed either. So give this game a shot because you won’t be disappointed <3

Positives:
-The characters are well written. This is another CoG/HG game where I think the 'bad guy' character is the best of the bunch.
-I liked the ability to choose your backstory details. Having the little flavour text for certain scenes stands out and adds personality instead of just telling you what happened and why you should care, or a blank state Main Character.
-The plot keeps you interested once you discover what's going on, and it gives you James Bond vibes the whole way through.
-There's a fair amount of stats to consider and choose, while not being overly complex.
Negatives:
-The game kind of just... ends. I don't know if there's a sequel planned, but it seems like it. The actual plot itself is finished, but I think the ending chapter should have been longer.
-Some characters could have used more scenes, as I didn’t get as much of a feel for them as I did the rest of the cast. Maybe that was a result of my choices, though.
This is one of the CoGs I've been eagerly awaiting since it was announced. This game was great, right up until the ending chapter. It's a shame, because I really did enjoy almost everything else about it. However, I still think it's a very entertaining adventure. I give it an 8.5/10.

So... after reading this... I've come to the conclusion I'd be an awful agent considering I'd literally flirt with anyone especially enemy agents. ><
On a serious note I ended up staying up reading this the moment it came out. It's a great read :o I got hella attached to the characters throughout the course of reading. I know people don't like a lot of stats but golly I loved looking at them throughout the story. This CYOA has so much to say and boy oh boy did I devour each and every word. The ending also makes it seem like there could be a sequel(?) and if thats the case I'm hella excited for when it happens but until then I'm going to keep replaying this with different choices! And god the amount of achievements to go thru! :D I'm a sucker for achievement hunting.
Thanks so much for giving me something to sink my time into.
