Mystery-solving adventure with unrelenting tension. It's almost like Silent Hill or Stephen King's It set in post.soviet Russia. Aside from thriller and horror elements this game also offers entracing insight into Russian nineties throught the eyes of kids, realities of the one Russian neighborhood, many carefully arranged details and cultural references.

If you trip all the nostalgia pieces b/c you aren't from '90s Russia, you're left is with something like a poor man's The Cat Lady, I think: you move from left to right to interact with stuff close by (in the most awkward manner possible, though), and stuff's getting gorier and creeper to further you progress. Pro:

After a somewhat bumpy start the pacing gets alright. Lots of cliffhangers keep you going.
The sounds are well done.
The visuals are not particular pleasent to look at, but they build up their own charm.
Con:

The controls. Really, why not going with pure The Cat Lady controls or common Point'n'Click controls? Here, we've gotta face the worst of both worlds combined. Through the game, one gets used to it, though.
A glitchy UI. Mouse-overs and hotspots are inconstistent and confusing. Gladly, there are almost no real puzzles in here, so one can ignore that for the most parts. Additionally, several codes didn't work the first time I entered them, and there were times where I had trouble to close a "detailed view" popup.
Not sure about the story. It became rather convoluted and I didn't get totally, but it seem to boil done to a lazy and overused trope.
Towards the end the gameplay became a bit of a drag - just tons of corridors and rooms to run back and forwards between.
Slightly recommended.

Good game. I thought it was very well made. The story was pretty cool, it complimented the setting perfectly. I liked how authentic it was. I love when it's obvious that the creators gave damn and put a lot of thought into what they were doing. The characters are great. Reminds me of the shit I would get up to as a kid. Definitely my type of game. If you love point and click mystery/thriller games you should totally give this a try.

I guess I recommend this?? I loved learning about Russia in the 90s and there were some great vibes in this. But it's also a bare bones production. There's no manual save and the controls can be buggy. The story makes not a lick of sense but I still liked it? I imagine that if you're a Russian Millennial/Gen X, then this game would appeal to you a lot more.
