Malaysian here, I have to say this a very great horror game based on the Ghost Months. Like playing horror visual novels when I saw there was a one from Malaysia itself, I know I have to try it especially if is about the Ghost Months. Love that you added our slangs and made how the characters talk how usual Malaysians would talk in real life, that themselves are what made the game fun for me to play. I laughed and smiled when I read what the characters are saying. Like how you can also wrap Nasi Lemak as well. Haha! Music and sound effects were good and the ghost or creature design was also excellent, same goes to the characters like all made up from paper

A short visual novel that has good atmosphere thanks to its good audio/visual design and overall aesthetic. I've never been to Malaysia so it's nice to get a sort of glimpse of it in this way. I definitely want to see more from this developer in the future; as part of the Short Creepy Tales series or something else entirely.

"This game's graphics look nice but fairy simple, why is my PC being so loud??" Recommended 16GB RAM "... oh" Anyway Really enjoyed this game! Expected to be scared but instead in the end it was rather... sweet? Moving I guess. Of course there were scares and I enjoyed those. Definitely recommend it. Also even the most basic knowledge of chinese language/beliefs concerning ghosts helps understand everything a bit better. The one thing I didn't like was the lockpicking minigame. Maybe I'm just dumb but it just didn't work until I started clicking repeatedly while moving my mouse wildly xD

A short story game that's actually kinda spooky because the elements that are mentioned are things and practices we have here in my country. Unique art style and I hope there will be a longer game in the next release. The story and dialogue is suitable for players in their tweens or younger. Scare scenes are quite digestable.

This was a 'prologue' game. The full game is not out yet, should be out this year (2023) but this is a nice tease at what the full game will be. I do not think that this should have a price. I could have sworn it was free during a steam next fest, but now it has a price tag. I had played it, thinking that the full game came out, and noticed it wasn't in my library anymore, so I bought it when it was on sale, and all the achievements were already unlocked so it was definitely the same game. I got confused. I enjoyed the game for what it was, but only took 2 hours. I don't know at this point if this is going to be included in the main game, but I feel it should have stayed as a free prologue.

A short but nice game which gives an insight to various rituals surrounding the dead in South East Asia, specifically Malaysia. It is designed in a charming way, the artwork goes great with the theme. I liked the mini games too (now I really want to try Nasi lemak). There are also some jumpscares that got me good, but I enjoyed them - it's a game about ghosts after all. There is some Malaysian vocabulary too which is a nice addition, especially if you're not familiar with it but curious about the culture/language. It is a nice game with a lot of attention to detail, just be aware that it's short. I'm happy there will be a second game in this style.

During the time of the malaysian Ghost Festival an old woman is telling stories to the kids living in a (hunted?) apartment complex. And today Aunty Fung decided to tell a TRUE story......Beautiful artwork, enjoyable story. Well done!

Nice little game, decent story. Only took 30 mins to finish one playthrough. Nice familiarity too, especially for Malaysians and Singaporeans. Can't really complain about the length coz I paid about a dollar for it.

Very short, and despite efforts to change the story I have gotten the same ending every time. The art style is interesting, that is the main thing this game has going for it.

7PM is a short narrative game with about 30 minutes of content for one playthrough, you could technically replay it 3 times to get every possible line of dialogue and achievement, but I don't think that it has any big impact on the narrative. Not much of a horror game even though I managed to enjoy the experience just based on the aesthetic, it has creative visuals and really good sound design. I am not referring to the 2D sprite in a 3D world which is a pretty common gimmick these days, but I can tell they put a lot of effort into the details. I was not too invested into the story, partially because I could not relate to the cultural events, but also because the game fails to expand on the little mystery that it has, it's like nothing happened. It has some jump scares but they don't have a build-up to make them terrifying; you can't have a very relaxing soundtrack during daytime and then randomly put a jump scare in there.
Pros:
+ very detailed world, it has some pretty moments + excellent sound design, immersive atmosphere + bunch of achievements, some optional events
Feedback:
Hard to tell a story in 30-minutes - my main problem with the game is that it has an interesting concept but nothing really happens, you set up a few mysteries and don't expand on them, leaving me with more questions and a dull ending. It's a good idea to leave some replay value through optional dialogue that you have, but it doesn't change all that much. Even if you had maybe another 10 minutes of context for some of the main characters I think the experience would be a lot more satisfying. And if you add optional events, they need to have more impact on the narrative, or maybe some unique locations associated with them. Players like to explore, but it has to be something worth finding. Transitioning hotspots - not a huge problem because the game is so small, just make sure people know where you can enter the next scene, I kinda found them by accident, so in a bigger game that would get really annoying. Overall Thoughts: 6/10 Not a poorly made game, the devs put a lot of thought into making it, but it needs to be a bit longer. I don't want to invest myself in the story just so it can end 30 minutes later, there were some mysterious characters and I wish their presence had more context. You can add replay value through optional dialogue and events, however, they need to be more meaningful.
Review By: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/31294838-Hidden-Gem-Discovery/
