This game made me a better person — and shattered my heart into pieces. It’s hard to put into words otherwise. One of my all-time favorite games, and every replay feels just as emotionally intense as the first. The writing, character development, and story are masterfully crafted — unforgettable and genuinely heart-wrenching. Despite the heaviness of the world, I find myself wanting to return again and again, to make new choices that not only shape the narrative but also reflect something deeper about my own worldview. It’s the kind of experience that helps you understand yourself a little more each time. Huge praise to the incredible developers for creating such a powerful game. I wholeheartedly recommend this unforgettable journey — it will stay with you long after the credits roll. 💙

Very great storytelling game full of emotions and hard decisions I can't forget the great sound design, voice acting and ambiance combined with music, and how music seamlessly transitions between loadings, that's a very nice detail, some of the soundtracks of this game are also peak imo (great moody vibe) graphics is good but I would expect something more from a remaster Only a few things are bad and those are the bugs like not hearing the main characters footsteps on the right side while using stereo or other sound system and one more glitch that I encountered **spoiler warning**
The worst glitch in this game is probably the one where you are going to soft-lock your game in episode 4, in the barn while trying to open the door to the basement, I was unable to find a great way around and it's inconsistent I guess, pray n hope that the unlocked door is able to be interacted with
Other than that I miss more logical solutions to some problems in the game/lack of more options to choose from, I can imagine that if AI ((sorry not sorry because AI can be also used in good ways other than just internet slop)) would be incorporated into a game such as this, it would be brilliant, each outcome could be original in some way, and it wouldn't even have to derail from the main story-line too much, but after all, the main point is the butterfly effect

Short Version Pro's - Well-Written Emotional Story - Interesting Characters - Realistic Dialog - Relatable Main Character - Great Villain and Twist Ending Con's - Slow at Times - Minor Bugs - Only Worth Replaying for Achievements - Repeating Dialog and Actions Can Be Annoying Overall Rating: 8/10 – Great Game Long Version Life is Strange is an emotionally gripping and narratively rich game that stands out as one of the most memorable story-driven experiences, especially since the original was released back in 2015. I played the original LiS back in 2015 and really enjoyed it. When I saw that they remastered it, I decided to buy it again and 100% it before writing this review. I'm happy to say that the game is as I remembered, and I was really happy to play through it again. There is so much that this game gets right that what flaws it does have are so minor that it almost seems nitpicky to mention them at all. Story The story in Life is Strange is where the game truly shines, delivering an emotional, thought-provoking narrative that’s both intimate and impactful. Set in the quiet, coastal town of Arcadia Bay, the game follows the journey of young adult Max Caulfield who, after a traumatic event in school, discovers she has the power to rewind time. With this new power in hand, you are pulled into many complex situations of rekindling friendship, navigating the game’s complex characters, and discovering the mystery of a missing person, all while a massive storm is looming on the horizon threatening the lives of all in Arcadia Bay. The story is broken up into multiple episodes (as is pretty standard with games like this), with each concluding with a new realization or goal that helps further the plot. The story as a whole is fantastic and can really play on your emotions at times but does suffer from some pacing problems and dull points that do drag out the game at times. All in all, though, the story does come together nicely and concludes with a satisfying ending. Characters All the major characters in this game are well thought out and genuinely feel like real people with real trauma and opinions. The dynamic between Max and Chloe (the two main characters) is the emotional core of the game, and their evolving relationship feels natural and heartfelt. Max (the player character) is so compelling with how relatable she is—her inner thoughts, insecurities, and sense of curiosity all feel genuine. Her grounded perspective makes it easy to connect with the emotional stakes of the story. In contrast, Chloe is fiery, unpredictable, and emotionally raw. Her pain and rebellious attitude are rooted in loss and abandonment, which makes her a layered and sympathetic character. The two of you encounter a plethora of diverse characters: from mundane teachers and classmates, caring and overbearing parental figures, drug dealers, addicts, homeless, and many others. The game also does a great job at character progression with its cast. Characters you despise in the first two episodes you may fall in love with in the final two, and vice versa. The interaction with these characters is the glue that holds the story and the gameplay together. Gameplay The gameplay is centered around choice, exploration, and narrative. Using your rewind power, you are able to perform actions or interactions with characters and see the immediate consequences of your choice or lack thereof. This may seem like a gimmick at first and hinder the choice aspect of the game; however, this is not the case at all. While you can see the immediate result of your choices, you are unable to see the longer-lasting effects, and then realize your rewind only lets you go back so far. As you progress into later episodes, you will discover the lasting damage you have done as the game increases in pace and your relationships with the different characters have either blossomed or completely disintegrated, changing the narrative of the game. To break up the stress of choice, the game includes many options to take photos with Max's camera for both achievements, major plot points, and Max's journal, which really fleshes out her character and the story as you play. Rather than fast-paced action or complex mechanics, the game focuses on its slower, more reflective experience that encourages players to think carefully about their actions, absorb their surroundings, and become emotionally invested in the characters and the world. Problems One of the most commonly mentioned problems is the slow pacing. The game deliberately takes its time to develop characters, build atmosphere, and set the emotional tone—but in some sections, especially early on, this can feel more tedious than thoughtful. You’ll sometimes spend long stretches just walking around, examining objects, or listening to internal monologue. While this slow burn works for players who enjoy deep immersion and narrative, others might find it drags, particularly if they’re expecting a more dynamic or varied gameplay experience. Repetitive dialog and actions are another downside—especially when using the rewind mechanic. Sometimes you’ll need to hear the same conversation multiple times or repeat sequences of actions after rewinding, which can quickly become frustrating. It’s a side effect of the time-reversal system, and while necessary for the gameplay, it occasionally disrupts the story’s momentum and tests player patience. The game also struggles a bit in terms of replay value. While choices do affect outcomes and dialog, the overarching story ends with one of two endings. How you get to these endings is handled better than in similar games in this genre but does eventually boil down to, regardless of how you get here, you are going to get either ending A or B. This makes second playthroughs less rewarding unless you're chasing achievements or want to see slight differences in how characters respond. The game also suffers from very minor bugs with certain interactions not being clickable if you take to long to perform them. This is easily fixed with reloading the games generous checkpoint system but does break immersion at times. Final thoughts Life is Strange is a powerful and emotionally resonant narrative adventure that delivers a deeply personal story filled with memorable characters, meaningful choices, and a unique time-rewind mechanic that sets it apart from other story-driven games. Its greatest strengths lie in its well-written dialogue, relatable protagonist, and the emotional weight behind every decision, all set against the hauntingly true evil you are confronting throughout the game. While the pacing may slow at times, minor bugs are present, and questionable replay value exists, these issues are small compared to the emotional depth and storytelling quality the game consistently delivers. For anyone who values character-driven narratives and immersive storytelling without needing constant over-the-top action, Life is Strange is a must-play experience that is well worth the purchase and has aged well even 10 years later.
